Hardy

Drafted both hardy and Roberts. With Robert’s going nuclear and hardy still not practicing, is he a hold? He’s on IL but as others start to get hurt he could be cleared in favor of keeping someone else.

I thought he was a league winner when I drafted him but now I’m unsure if he will even play this year. Thoughts?

I think there’s at least like a 50% chance he doesn’t play at all this year. And if he does play I think he’d get eased back in. So even in that scenario. I think it’s most likely that even if Hardy returns. Roberts mainly stays as the lead back or it ends up being a roughly even split by the time he’s fully back which seems like would be at least like 4-5 weeks away at this point. I think it’s quite unlikely that a guy who hasn’t played in 6+ months goes back to having the same volume of work as last year given how well Roberts has played and how long Hardy has been out. Personally, I’d probably drop him if you have fairly short benches and decent options on waivers, But I don’t have any inside knowledge - I’m just speculating like everyone else.

Listening to the Missouri football media availability last week, Drinkiwitz didn't sound very optimistic. He just said Hardy's two week clock hasn't started yet and he hasn't been fully cleared for practicing. After this weekend, we only have six weeks left in the regular season. High probability he doesn't play this year, and if he does it will be late in the season and in a limited capacity.
