This is the type of shit my fiance brings home and ruins my chili plans with 😂

Not against it but man you know that is gonna just be some artificial pumpkin flavor. Do it with actual pumpkin and it would be better

Sorry for all the hate you’re getting. To those throwing the hate and saying it will be artificial pumpkin flavor, it actually won’t. It’s just a spice blend like any other chili pack, you actually add canned, real pumpkin when you make it. I’m including a pic of the back of chili pack for reference.

I’m intrigued by this, I’ve never considered making a pumpkin chili but now I might.

I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you for the legit and informative reply! I’ll post it to the group when I get to make it!

I just made chili a few days ago with diced kabocha pumpkin with cinnamon and garam masala and it was pretty decent. Life is boring if you don’t add new flavors to your chili. 👍🏻

This is a generic reminder message under every image post

Thank you for your picture post to r/chili. We want to remind everyone of Rule #1. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you've posted a picture of chili, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

Thank you!!

Interesting. I regularly add pumpkin spice to different chilis I make. Hope you like it!
