Question How to size my collection?

Hey guys - Hope you can help me size my collection.

Background - I’m 53. Stopped collecting at 29 as kids and life came along. Started when I was 12, so a solid 17 years of collecting (during the highest comic book production era). I don’t think I have much of value in my collection. They’ve been in my basement since I moved. Rarely do I go in there.

Have a ton of long boxes and short comic book boxes.
How do I size each box? I don’t have them over or under stuffed.

Thanks - I’ll come back with photos and questions.

If you mean, "how to you get a general idea of how many comics you have based on the number of boxes" then a working number would be 300 per long box and 200 per short box.

Depends on if they are bagged and board and then which type of bags are used. A short box with regular comic bags and boards, modern around 100-120. The newer short boxes, I find them to be much smaller. Now if they are older shorts boxes you most likely fit about 10 or comics. Mylars take up a little more room.

I don't know what you're asking.
