A ‘Best of’, where we can discuss the best of our collection

weekly or monthly discussion threads of new additions to our collections, maybe?

Would you rather see that opposed to haul posts?

on one hand, i think haul posts are great because it creates a more consistent flow of content and we get to see the photos of the books. on the other, a thread is nice for organization purposes. but they might be able to coexist, giving people the opportunity to choose which format they like better.

I think maybe a monthly haul thread would be good. As much as I’d like to see people’s purchases regularly, I’d hate for it to turn into multiple posts of the same book.

I would second a monthly haul thread, just to keep things more organized. That way the discussion can be focused too which will help since it's a small sub.

Im very excited by this. When should the haul post be? First of the month?

One thing I’d love to see is a reviews or collection information thread.

I don’t get to comic shops much any more and one thing I really find hard when ordering only is what a set or collection actually looks like in depth.

Shelfies is one of my biggest motivators to go out and buy something.

There’s a lot of great releases that are incomplete as well. And publishers can be pretty cagy with info. I’d be kind of cool if we can capture that sort of info if people are hitting road blocks etc.

I.e. I was looking at the GiJoe hardcover collection apparently it’s up to Vol 9, but IDW have basically cancelled it.

Basically rather then Just the broad Shelfies. We can have some specific posts look in more detail about what is on your shelf and why?

We’re going to have a monthly haul thread where everyone can post their pictures of what they’ve added to their shelves for the month. Our inaugural thread will be on the last day of this month.

As far as release info, I don’t really want to have a ton of posts about what’s coming out etc., but we’ll marinate on the idea for a little while.

How about a weekly build thread?

I mean, as great as it is to see everyone's hauls or shelfies, how about a thread dedicated to the furniture that is supporting them? People could as questions about recommended bookcases, setups, or shelving hacks that help to keep their collections displayed and safe.
