Con Autograph Question What are the funniest items to get autographed?
I’m trying to think of funny bits to entertain the voice actors I’m getting autographs from eventually, such as getting them to provide signatures on my phone’s notepad app. But I also do want a physical signature or something, but I’m not sure what items I wanna use.
I thought a piece of paper with purposely horribly made drawings of the characters they voice would be funny, but I’m trying to consider more options.
If specificity helps, they’re the voice cast of The Amazing Digital Circus. Not that I’m looking for any gags that are too specific for the show, but just in case.

I almost got Chevy Chase to sign a VHS copy of "Nothing But Trouble", but it would have cost me $125, and he probably wouldn't have found it funny.
Dan Aykroyd would have laughed and signed it.
(I'm waiting in the parking lot of a con right now. Don Bluth is here, and I joked about having him sign my copy of "The Black Cauldron", but that would be kind of mean, and I respect Don too much.)

Did something similar with Shatner.
Got American Psycho 2 and his Common People CD. Took him out of his quick signing trance.
"Oh! Oh no...You had CHOICES sir! Wh-Oh my music nevermind"

Back when I attended film school in '04, we had a big lecture with a panel of big names. I only remember Clive Barker and Chuck Palahniuk. I had just started reading his stuff and was a fan. Did not realize they were doing a Q&A, etc. So, of course, having absolutely nothing on me, I straight up asked Chuck if he'd autograph my arm. Surprisingly, he actually did, but made a few slight changes on the autograph, cause he jokingly said, "In case you decided to get a tattoo, it's not my official signature." Never planned on getting a tattoo, but played well with him. (Yes, I still have the photograph of my arm that I took right when I got back to my dorm room.

My boss shares a name with a character a well known voice actor recently played on a TV show.
In an episode of the show, one of the other characters tells the VAs character, "Fuck off, [VA Character Name]."
That VA was at a con, so I explained it and asked if they would write "Fuck off, [VA Character Name], Signed [VA Character Name], VA Actual Name"
They did, I gave it to my boss, and my boss thought it was hysterical. Our work group chat actually has that scene as a gif we use when our boss is being particularly demanding.

Are you sure they would find it funny, rather than rude and disrespectful?

So long as it’s tasteful. If a talent is offended by the joke of signing someone’s digital notepad app, then their ego is far too high up in their own ass

I have a prop semi-auto pistol with silencer and brought just the silencer for John Cusack to sign, he loved it. his assistant was quite unhappy about it 😝

I once brought Janet Varney a Psych season three dvd and she and I spent five minutes trying to remember her character’s name (she played one in season three and a different one in season eight). It was a good laugh and I now have a DVD signed “Mindy (and others!!)”
