Con Autograph Question Confused about pricing

Post image

There is a comic con I want to go to and I want to get an autograph from a person. On the site it says that an autograph is 40 and a quote with signature is 20. I looked up what the difference was and was confused that it said that a quote with signature is most of the time more expensive. If any of you have any idea what is going on please tell me.

The Quote with a signature is essentially an add-on where the celebrity will write one of their more famous quotes on the photo along with their autograph (it's a newer thing) so depending on who this is, if you want them to add a quote it'll be $20 extra on top of the $40 for an autograph

Lets use william shatner as an ex

Autograph : $40 standard photo print given to u at booth

Premium auto : $50-80. This is anything that can be re sold. A comic a funko etc etc

Quote $20. A phrase or personalization. Like to john Or boldly go where no man.. or kirk

So a signed comic with quote would be $50-80. + $20 Signed photo would be $40+ $20

To make it slightly more confusing, some comic creators will charge LESS if it’s personalized with your name. For example, Mark Bagley would sign for free if it’s made out to you, but would otherwise charge.

Personalization (as in "To John," not a whole personalized note) is usually included in the base price. It makes the autographs harder to resell
