Liverpool Comic Con Concern About Travelling To Liverpool Comic Con Due To Fuel Cost Concerns
I dont know if this is allowed to be talked about but im wondering if anyone else is in the same boat im in. Long story short im planning on going to it but with rising fuel costs (coming from Scotland btw) I can imagine theres people probably coming from all over the country (and parts of the world) who might be reconsidering their decision to go now

And yet you’re willing (I assume?!) to spend crazy prices to get autographs and/or photos with celebs. I wouldn’t have thought a few more quid in petrol would make that much difference.

Doesn’t the UK have a robust rail system?

Specifically, no. It's incredibly dear, impunctual and certain lines have been under construction for years due to privatisation and underfunding.

If you're happy going there to spunk huge amounts of money up the wall on Z list guests due to the EDL mexican marching powder dealer's massively inflated prices, plus £30+ just to get in, an extra 80p on a gallon of petrol should be the least of your concerns.
That you're going to an event run by a racist skinhead, and strongly rumoured drug dealer, should be the only thing you're worried about.

Kinda weird to make a post complaining about money without a single number in it.

It might be worth looking at trains or coaches and seeing if you can get something cheap for an overnight stay if it'd make the day too long, and if it works out more cost effective.
Coaches take longer but are significantly vheaper than trains - Birmingham area to Manchester is almost 70 on a train vs less than 25 coach.
