Con Autograph Question Etiquette for Actor signing
I’m a teenager going to my first con soon. The actor for my favorite character from my favorite show and book will be attending. I payed 150ish for the premium autograph they offer. I originally wanted to get my book signed but came into hands of a pop of the character and was wondering if it would be too much of me to ask if they could sign both or just suck it up and stick to the book?

Heavily depends, usually its a one a pop system BUT since you're a teen, and depending on the actor and interaction, they might be open to both. Just ask politely, and accept if not with grace, any pushy-ness or assuming would be quick to get you dismissed/waved off especially by their handler
Are you open to saying who the actor is or? Because if its more of a niche series/actor, might be in your favor

Sadly its not. It's Kit Harington and I think he's one of the headlines for the con since they have a whole page of different tickets you can purchase solely for him compared to the diff actors. I was thinking of having him sign the cover for my new game of thrones book.

Yeah with Kit you'll get one, and a quick interaction to move on. Keep in mind books are usually signed inside the cover. Signatures on covers can be difficult if you don't have the right kind of pen, and basicakky mean you put the book on display and don't touch it.

You pay per autograph, so you will need to choose which one to get signed. You can pay for a 2nd autograph, but that is another $150.

Most of the time they will only sign one item per purchase. You will need to pay a 2nd time to sign the second item unfortunately.

I remember meeting Harou Nakajima (OG Godzilla suit actor) and he would sign up to four items for like 20 dollars. It was his first us appearance.

Unfortunately, it depends and there's no way to know. I doubt they'd mind, but their handler might.

If they're charging 150$ for a 'premium' autograph, it's very doubtful they've do a second one free.

I doubt they'd mind, but their handler might.
Why should we care what the handler thinks, if the celebrity is okay with it? The handler works for the celebrity, not the other way around.

I agree, but I think it's less likely to happen after their handler immediately says no on their behalf.

The handler is there to express the actual feelings of the celebrity. They aren’t trying to short change you, they are trying to make a fair distribution of time to all the people who paid for the experience. The celebrity does want to see you- but equally so for everyone in line
A funko pop is usually considered a “premium” signature so do that one. The premium tag to me sometimes means unusual shape that is harder to sign and sometimes means “item you might resell for profit”. Both apply to a funko and not to a book

No, the handler is there to keep things running smoothly. I've seen more than one celeb ignore what their handler says. Tha handler is a critical role, don't get me wrong, nit it's not always about what the celeb wants

You'll have to pay for a second autograph and, depending on the package, bulky items like Pops will run you more.

Yea your right. The package I bought had in its description that it was for pops, figures, and other premium items. I bought it cause I didn't know if I should buy the flat package or not for my book signing.

Check the website for the con you are attending. They might have the policies posted.

Usually with autographs you have to pay per autograph so if you want two items signed it would be the autograph price x2
