Post image

just generally wondering what the public opinion on 3d printing and bringing this into the con as it doesn't resemble a real gun but still curious. thanks for the feedback.

Lots of Fallout cosplayers at SDCC were carrying weapons. Many were sci fi guns. One dude had a stripped down revolver holstered on a crossbody, and it looked real. I'm not that brave.

yeah I'm too scared to risk bringing a real weapon counterpart lol

I’ve been carrying my plasma rife replica into both SDCC and Emerald City for years now.

Nice! Good to see you again (so to speak). I was around this year too, but I had a friend visiting from out of town so I was mostly only there Friday and Saturday.

Also, happy cake day!

I saw a lot of cosplay guns at the last Con.

guess the rules aren't as strict as I would've thought, still probably going with the laser rifle to pair with my ncr ranger cosplay just to be safe lol

Different conventions have different policies, which will be listed on their website.

In general, anything that looks clearly sci-fi/fantasy will be allowed unmodified, but some conventions might require more realistic-looking guns might need to be modified - a common thing is having a brightly coloured cap over the end to make it look less real.

I think if it’s a replica airsoft gun, u gotta put an orange tip on the end, and sci-fi guns are okay. But that’s just for South Africa idk bout LA
