LA Comic Con Autograph Questions

Hello,

I am attending the LA comic con and was considering getting some cards signed by some celebrities. I'm looking online about the ticket prices and options but was confused on some of the options.

I'm assuming 8x10 session is only for a photo and the premium is for other things like a cards or funk pop.

But there are additional options like a character name or quote or SWAU authentication. Are these just additions besides a signature?

Base cost is often for 8x10s yes. Cards might be the same, could be considered a different level as you suspect. It will depend on the person. The other things are add ons, extra.

Every celeb is a little different so even what is listed can be misleading (I've been doing autographs for 11 years).

8x10 is often included in the autograph price, sometimes the photo is not included but that is not common. Premium generally is considered "anything that isn't an 8x10". Can be small or large, usually doesn't matter.

Character name/quote is an ADDITION to the autograph price.

SWAU authentication. This is a registered authentication so it is verified what you have is a legit signature from when and where and who you got it from. If you are selling your item this would be wise to have as it plays into the actual value of your item when you sell. If it is a personal item you will keep then don't bother.

So is recommended to go for the premium if I wanted just one trading card signed?

What kind of cards? Post card? Trading card? Sports card?

I assume trading card. Some celebs charge auto for any type of item big or small. Some do 8x10 photo (base price) and premium auto (base + $20-40). This can be anything from Funko, large items, poster.

Yes, some charge a quote based on the number of words (e.g. 5 words for $20, 10+ words for $40). For character name, it is almost always included in a standard or premium auto. Exception to this are the big names like Hayden Christensen where they charge separately for character name on top of the autograph and quotes.

Quotes won't fit well on a standard trading card and also doesn't look good. Only sig and character name works
