Rhode Island Comic Con photo op question

hi! so i'm going to RICC next month, i went to buy a photo op for someone and it says the time is TBD, which kinda makes me nervous cause i'm coming from NYC and won't get there til about 12 pm. should i just book my travel for now, and wait until they drop the time before purchasing it incase? i've never traveled for a con before lol so i'm not quite sure what to do.

Same here, I’m from NYC and I’ll be driving to Rhode Island in the morning to get there around 9:30-10am to get a photo op with the cast of the boys and Jermey Jordan. Best advice is to leave early as possible, if not maybe drive up there the night before and stay at a hotel.

smart idea! just annoying cause im taking public transport there which will be... fun. more than likely that will be what i have to do lol!

nick apostolides hopefully(resident evil voice actor lol)! i was between either the photo or just autograph, but i think since i’m purchasing photo ahead of time that guarantees meeting him whereas the other is kinda chance based..?

Yes, a photo op guarantees meeting him, but for literally about 30 seconds. You will asked to step in, get to say "Hi!", pose, and be hustled out. You won't be allowed to make conversation, or give them a gift, or get an autograph.

if you want to have a meaningful exhange w/ the actor, you're far better off getting an auto+selfie combo during their autograph times if they're offering that!

and i wouldn't say it's really 'chance-based.' he will be at a table signing autographs during the times they list, and you stand there and wait and he will get to you eventually. it just might be that you have to leave and return if they're dealing with too many people in line etc.

(of course, as with all humans, he could fall ill or have a conflict pop up that shortens his window or forces a cancelation altogether; just saying that as it does happen)

thank you for the advice!! no yea i worded it bad, i more or less meant leaving/returning🥲. i think i might do that route lol! i saw on the website autographs are offered so i’ll have to check whats happening when i get there!

If it's a very popular photo op it also might sell out in advance and the schedule could come as late as the week before the con.
