I put my hysterectomy through via having endometriosis because medical sexism was deadly enough to make me worry... but I've had a doctor claim I refused a pap smear in my files when I no longer had a cervix.
I am very worried what happens when they intergrate AI into medical notes if they already cannot grasp the concept of afab people who lack a uterus when you explain it directly.
This is already happening, I went to the doctor recently and instead of writing an after visit summary she recorded the entire visit with AI and the AI wrote the summary. Some of the summary was just straight up wrong, it made up multiple things that I never said. Healthcare may be cooked
Oh fuck… my therapist just had asked if I would be fine with signing something that allows them to record the session with AI, so that it can make notes… which I can get access to whenever I wish… now it was OPTIONAL, and I can opt out whenever I want.
I originally said no, until he said I can opt out next session if I change my mind, basically let’s try one session, see how it did when I come next. I’ll find out next week!
