I heard a story about a bartender that noticed a Nazi in his bar and kicked him out. the Nazi claimed he was being polite and was a paying customer but the bartender didn't care.

one of the other customers asked him why he did that if the guy was acting polite, and the bartender explained something like "this one was polite, but if I let stay then next time he's gonna bring his friends, and his friends will bring their friends, and those friends won't be as polite. suddenly you have a bunch of Nazis at your bar that drive away your other customers and it's too late to do anything about it. congrats, now you're the owner of a Nazi bar."

gotta nip it in the bud as fast as possible.

edit: btw idk if its a real story or a cautionary tale

Something like this happened for real in Melbourne, Australia recently. Bar owner let a small group of nazis become regulars and they ended up attacking and assaulting him when he tried to get them to stop harassing and scaring away non-white people who tried to get a drink.

So Nazis are like cockroaches or slugs. Got it.

slugs?

UK damp houses and old cottages. It's a thing. They get in through any cracks or up the drains and if you see one you will find dozens in a week

squishy and gross and slimy

Also like slugs, Nazis often poison themselves with alcohol when given the opportunity.

Nah that's unfair to the cockroaches and slugs.

nazi bar effect

Assuming this tale is true, I don’t think anybody needs to explain why they kicked a nazi out.

Not to you or I, no.

Besides, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a metaphor for public life in general as well as politics

iirc when I heard the story the Nazi didn't have an obvious sign he's a Nazi, the bartender noticed because he has experience kicking out Nazis. so the other customer that asked did so because he didn't know it was a Nazi.

You don’t need to explain it to a normal human being with a functioning brain

But there’s a whole lot of people walking around who don’t fit that description

Can you come up with any reason why the same wouldn't be true for radical muslims playing nice until the have the numbers?

For one a radical Islamist likely isn’t going to be frequenting a bar, on account of being radically Islamic and against alcohol consumption and all of that.

The bar is a metaphor and can be switched out for any public establishment where a private owner gets to decide who to throw out.

But sure if you want to contribute absolutely nothing to the discussion by getting hung up on semantics, you do you.

Oh wow he understands metaphors but not humor. Imagine that.

radical Islamists don't have the same tell-tale marks as Nazis, kicking every muslim person just because they might be a radical Islamist is racist. if you're 100% sure you can tell then there's no difference.

What if the nazis have no clear signs and show now obvious behaviour that would make the owner realise they're one?

Most of them nowadays look like your average Joe and have no tattoos clothes that would 100% confirm their ideology.

u/NoneBinaryPotato Aug 07 '26

you dont need me to give you an excuse to be islamophobic, you can use your brain to understand that if someone talks like a nazi then it's a sign they're a nazi.

The cunts have adapted, they know better than to tell their beliefs to you outright (at least the more cunning ones are) so they may say that they're apolitical or smth, finding them out is a bit more difficult when they lack swastikas on their wallets

My underlying question would be wether you feel like the far right or political islam is a bigger perceived threat for people of the LGBTQ+ community

How would the bartender know to kick them out if they don’t look, talk, or act like a Nazi?

Should the bartender just kick out any white person because there is a chance they might be a secret Nazi? Same way you seem to want bartenders to kick out any brown person because there is a chance they might be a secret Radicalist?

I gotta say that's a weak reason. So as long as you've got a bunch of polite paying well tipping Nazi customers that's fine?

3

u/thekyledavid Aug 07 '26

You’re the type who would’ve told the Nazis where Anne Frank was if they asked you politely

1

u/omnimodofuckedup Aug 07 '26

Well, politely reread and be more considerate next time before calling people out like this. You never know their (family) history, my friend.

Maybe it is due to the fact that english is not my first language. My point is, rejecting a polite Nazi at your bar because you're worried about him bringing his impolite friends is a bad reason to reject him. A far better reason would be to reject a Nazi because everything he stands for is disgusting and you should take every legal action to make their life as hard as possible because of their views on other humans.

If that's still not understandable: Nazis are bad. Don't help, serve or support them in any way.

1

u/thekyledavid Aug 07 '26

What do your expect people to think when you say “So long as you’ve got a bunch of polite paying well tipping Nazi customers that’s fine”

If you didn’t mean to say that a restaurant should be okay with having polite paying well tipping Nazi customers, you need to work on writing more clearly. It’s not a reading comprehension problem if everyone who reads what you wrote came to the same conclusion

Please quote my actual comment, not what you remember reading it half assed. That is not what I commented and in good faith I think it's rather clear if you're not looking for trouble.
