Well i can sleep some where else it doesn't have to be hotels. Supply and demand right?

Are you new? No. Supply and demand is supposed to be the answer but it never is. The corporations will always just make implicit or backroom deals to enshittify everything specifically to deny you any choice in the matter.

Best case scenario, new businesses start out with real walls and doors but then swap them out to boost profit once they've established themselves. Worst case scenario, all new businesses start out with glass walls and/or shitty doors because otherwise they're "losing money".

no no its just coincidence that every single source offering a product or service gets worse it the same way at the same time.. over and over again for decades.. and that nobody ever seems to go "if I just.. don't do that I could pickup all this business"

No it’s just yall don’t understand what supply and demand means. It’s not “the answer”. It’s just how you calculate price curves…

thats exactly what a defeatist or a shell would say.

boycotts always work as we've seen times and times again

Look, you’re not wrong that they work sometimes - but always is a stretch - I agree with you and I vote with my wallet, it’s been two years since I placed an order on Amazon or had McDonald’s or Starbucks, my business has been captured by better players BUT that hasn’t affected those players - I’m just one person, so are you, you/we have to get others to buy in because they’re not convinced yet that they have power (and honestly, I don’t know what it takes to convince people to band together - someone who successfully formed a union recently or something might)

90% of the reason why i make this kind of comments is because i know for a fact some people are paid to spread the idea that we cant win, or that our efforts are useless. When in fact they're powerful and do so much damage.
If i stay silent the lies will be louder and everyone will think they can't do anything.

You need a different approach because right now you seem like a fanatic and that’s just not attractive to the other side - ease people into this idea with subversive comments they can’t disagree with, don’t push so hard on your point

What happens to the price when supply drops?

Then a hotel doesn't and wonders why people keep returning...

The circle of liiife

Why would hotels who are now becoming super popular do this though??

If anything, once the other hotels realize they are bleeding customers they will revert this decision as a failed experiment.

I've stayed at a casino hotel that's consistently booked. They have had the glass walled bathrooms for over 20 years.

u/Frix 19d ago

Yeah, but that's a casino. Not a real hotel where people go to enjoy themselves.

1

u/afcagroo 19d ago

It's actually both. There are not a lot of good hotel options in the area, so some people (like me) stay there because it's one of the best options around.

Or just get more comfortable around your friends.

You overestimate hotel's willingness to spend that kind of money.

Ironically, this will just push traffic to cheaper hotels

One that doesn’t gets more profit. And everyone switches back. Over and over.

Well then the wheel turns and air bnb becomes popular again.
