As someone who worked in a hotel once: Lol. Lmao, even.
I had to ask to do that when I was being trained. Such as, "Oh, I should wipe down the walls of the showers, too, no?" And, "Can I just use the broom to knock down the cobwebs."
Hell, half the time I scrubbed the toilets, you could tell the other cleaners weren't doing it because mold fell out.
Of course, not ALL hotels, but I bounced around a few (same ownership,different buildings)** and they were all kind of mangy and gross.
Edit: Clarity to the once and multiple claim in the same story.
