I can’t speak for all the women.. but from the ones I know, the creep they talk about usually refers to someone who was persistent in trying to get with them, and not getting the obvious hints that they were not interested. They encouraged approaching others, but immediately dropping it if they seemed uninterested. You will know when someone reciprocates their interest in you.
Not saying that you should do that - I’m also a recluse. I met my gf at work and we’ve been dating close to 5 years now. You never know when you’ll find them! But I’d thought I’d clear up that contradictory bit, I was confused about that for a long time too.
Yeah I hear that completely but I’m happily married for 10 years at this point. The gym isn’t the place to meet a woman in my eyes unless they are the first to approach or we have general candid conversations. From my experience, women don’t want to be bothered when doing intensive tasks such as from a customer while they’re working or exercising.
I never felt like I was labeled a “creep” but I know what behavior is tied to being creepy so I avoid that at all costs.

Agreed. I met a girlfriend at the gym years ago but she approached me about a water bottle I’d left at a machine which led to a conversation.
Going to the gym specifically for meeting women is utterly delusional.
