OC A Comic about DID - Part 9 [OC]

If you want to help playtest this mod, join our Discord! It features the creation of different "profiles" on one account which each have their individual skin, location, inventory, and their own keep inventory toggle.

You can download this without joining the Discord here, but keep in mind it's still in early beta so there will probably be bugs. The keybind for the alter menu is 'K' by default.

...Yes. Both of those are true. Uncertain how to explain in depth more. We disagree on some fundamental things. For a basic example comprehensible to Americans, our system contains both a George Bush era Republican and someone who thinks that Bernie Sanders and AOC are conservative capitalist right wing flunkies. We have a high femme goth and a very masculine alter.

How do you handle elections with such opposite views? 😵‍💫 Is it just whoever's the "lucky" fronting alter that gets to decide who to vote for on election day?

And what about voting "by anticipation"? (Idk if that's a thing elsewhere.. but, in Canada, we can go vote "in advance" on some set dates.) If one alter went to vote early, would the whole system know? Or could it be possible for someone to be fronting on election day, show up to vote, and then realize "you" already did? Has it ever happened before? How do/would you deal with the awkward situation and potential accusations, since it could look like trying to vote twice..?

Right now, American politics is in such a surreal state that we can all agree. When we get back to elections between sane bundles of policy instead of hyperbolic crazy as far as the eye can see, we'll use the method we already use for system wide questions and hold elections on major issues before we commit to doing the thing.

For example, right now there's a debate about coming out to someone in our life, so we're putting in proposals and voting. Time consuming, but it's got to be done.

Wow! Such an organized system! I can only imagine how much time and dedication it must take to get everyone's opinion on a matter, with all the questions and discussions that may emerge because complex matters are nuanced. It's great that you're able to hold system-wide elections like that! I bet not all DID systems are as organized and communicative.

It helps that we are a small system. Anytime you have to work with several other people, you're going to have to come up with ways to make consensus and make decisions that are fair. I don't know how some of the systems I talk to that are painfully large manage.
