Tight-waisting was NOT common, people! Cinching =/= tight-waisting, and is required to keep everything structurally in-place (as otherwise everything falls down because gravity).

I always get so peeved when people go and say corsets were torture devices women were forced to wear to please men or whatever.

My corsets are my most comfortable undergarments in my wardrobe. The back support feels amazing.

I usually have aching but when wearing a corset it feels like my ribs and spine are being held in the right place for once

My cousin had to wear one for scoliosis as well. Also I think his twin brothers and their mates might also have thrown him off a roof. It was one or the other.

i would assume he had to wear it because of the whole "throwing off a roof" business. and for some reason i pictured the roof of a barn

Don't buy it off the rack, it's going to be uncomfortable. Need to get one custom made.
