I don't know....If for some reason I had to cook my kid.....I'm not sure if doing a good job would be weird, or doing it poorly would be disrespectful.
I was at a friend's party, buffet style breakfast food. The dog won't let me go out the front door to smoke, so I head out back to have a cigarette and hang out with the chickens. I snagged a few sausages on the way and share them with the birds. They loved them.
Everyone's looking at me funny when I get back in. Turns out, those were chicken sausages...
It's okay, chickens will cannibalize each other at the drop of a hat, so it's perfectly fine for any other species, birds included, to eat them. In terms of brain capacity, chickens are just above self-propelled vegetables.
There was a strange feeling of 'this is perfectly fair!' when I tried alligator for the first time. I don't think I've eaten any other animal that could actually eat me if I wasn't already dead.
Oh I've eaten plenty of things that could KILL me. Horse, moose, boar, hell even cattle could easily KILL me.
Now that I think about it, boar is an animal that could both kill and eat me. I didn't realize how large or dangerous wild boars actually are at the time I tried that.
