No, see this is the common level up fantasy tale where MC now is inspired to take care of his new goblin babes, and through the power of love, they give him the ultimate cheat skill that lets him excel through the ranks and become the greatest hero ever and super rich and care for his goblin families!

Jokes on you, it's a progression fantasy, so it like, never ends, or when it does, it's long past the point it shouldve + no one's there for the ending anyway because everyone fell off

This is actually really depressing when you think about it.

u/PharrowXL 17h ago edited 17h ago
Yeah, namely that even the orcs adhere to patriarchy so badly that the murderer of their husbands is expected to labor as the only man present instead of the reasonable solution of killing and eating him instead and starting a polyamorous coven of green baddies
I'm only half joking

Pretty sure they had him do the chores and poisoned him. Next panel is them burying his body.

Is this satire or did someone actually write about killing every male goblin in a village and having the female goblins breast boobily over to be his wives without feeling disgusting?

You'd be surprised what moral quandries you can vault over with a hard dick
I look back on my lewd artist days with disgust sometimes. Not cuz I'm a prude but because I entertained some stuff i would have never considered neutrally

This is fetish stuff, right?
10
u/Majestic-Iron7046 13h ago
It's sex stuff!
Fetish stuff would involve a specific unusual thing that is not massively already considered sexual, I think hot fantasy green skinned women are basically pop-culture at this point.
But yeah I mean, if we consider a strictly Vanilla view on sex (unreasonable on the internet) I guess goblin/orc women could be a fetish of some kind?
16
u/Lady_of_Slaughter 11h ago
"a specific unusual thing" like, let's say... A scenario where all the men from a group are killed and instead of their wives being disgusted or having any negative connotations whatsoever they instead opt to "adopt" the guy in a "savior-esque" trope as the new husband for them all harem style? Yeah, it's fetish stuff
-3
u/Majestic-Iron7046 9h ago
I don't know, that sounds like a scenario more than a fetish itself.
3
u/Lady_of_Slaughter 9h ago
The scenario IS the fetish, correct
3
u/Majestic-Iron7046 2h ago
Oh... I didn't know a fetish could be a scenario but it actually makes sense if I think about it.
Somehow I expected it to be more of a "fetish is about a specific item or thing".2
u/Drsits 8h ago
I think this is more of the artists kink, rather than a fetish.
1
u/Lady_of_Slaughter 7h ago
Perhaps true, but that doesn't really change the core of the previous discussion
3
u/Drsits 7h ago
The meaning of words is important. I'm not here to influence the core discussion; I was just pointing out a poor word choice. They're in the same ballpark, but aren't synonyms.
1
u/Lady_of_Slaughter 7h ago
I was merely keeping up with the lingo already used as it's evident that the previous people in said discussion also don't seen aware of the difference between kink/fetish, I'd rather keep it straight forward rather than give an explanation that's essentially unnecessary for the discussion
2
u/Drsits 7h ago
From the start, the question was "this is fetish stuff, right?" The next response is a guy clarifying it's sex stuff, and why it wouldn't really be fetish stuff. Honestly, I think this entire discussion has been about what a fetish is.

A scenario is classified as a kink I believe. A fetish is a focus on a specific object/substance/body part.
2
u/Lady_of_Slaughter 7h ago
That's actually incorrect! A kink is a turn on that enhances the sexual experience but it's not a necessity to get off, while a fetish is a turn on regardless of context and typically needed to reach sexual gratification. using a simple analogy: someone that's into feet, if they NEED feet as a factor, then it's a fetish, if they're simply are into it, it's a kink

I’d be incredibly surprised if “now it’s time for dessert” doesn’t refer to an nsfw patreon bonus
Edit: their post on their user page supports that idea: https://www.reddit.com/u/AlekseyGutierrez/s/IQSQKMd7OQ
-2
u/International-Cat123 9h ago
The way they are drawn and posing in the first leads people to expect “deal with us” is going to be in a nsfw work, only for it to be him doing the work expected of the men. The end of the second page has a thing going on with phrasing, only for the third panel to be dinner. While the third panel ends with the suggestion of dessert, the previous two incidents suggest it’s somehow going to innocent.

The art style is cute but the scenario and the design of the women grosses me out
18
u/RainOnTheCoast 6h ago
You're far from the only one. "You killed our husbands, now the implication is you get to fuck us" is some messed up shit. And that's not even touching the racial history behind depictions of orcs and how that complicates this further...

Scenario could have been interesting, but they got too lazy with it. A better version of this scenario was written by Steven Erikson in the fist Malazan book that had Karsa Orlong in it.
I don't really see anything gross with how the women are drawn. A lot of tribal societies basically only cover the genitals, historically and in modern day. Really them having tops on is the weird part.
I'd prefer if the boobs weren't giant bolt ons, but big boobs are hard for some people to draw.

So much pearl clutching in comments. Meanwhile this is incredibly tame compared to what booktok imagines. Not sure why people are so much more puritanical about illustrations over written work.
4
u/JunoGyles 4h ago
Why are you assuming the same people who are identifying misogyny in this comic don't have similar criticisms toward books with similar content? It seems like you're associating two groups of unrelated people (the users of r/comics and the target demographic for "booktok").
3
u/GiveMenBiggerButts 2h ago
It’s just the same pornrotted comics all the time and r/comics usually eat them up, it’s annoying.
“He he ho ho copy pasted big tit woman make man do things so hot”

u/KingNTheMaking 2h ago
Yall. It’s erotic art. That’s the point.
It’s not supposed to be realistic. It’s not supposed to reflect what men or women actually look like.
The point is to be a silly exaggeration sex appeal.
You are literally out here in the comments, talking about some “I hate that this fantasy based erotic comedy art doesn’t have realistic proportions for women”
Most of the comics on this sub don’t have anything even approaching realistic proportions, nor are they trying to. But all of a sudden, when those exaggerated proportions are supposed to be immediately “sexy” everyone starts becoming an art critic.
1
u/Lady_of_Slaughter 1h ago
Most people here aren't even criticizing the proportions itself but rather how this is just plainly misogynistic
2
u/KingNTheMaking 1h ago
Oh THATS completely true. I’m won’t defend the subject matter. Just that the high voted comments I saw were on the art style
•
u/HometownShowman 45m ago edited 42m ago
Actually most of the people are complaining because the comic is gross in multiple ways. Me personally, I hate the artists art style in general. I’ve seen their work a few times and I’ve never cared for them. In this case though, it’s people complaining about the blatant misogyny and nonsensical plot.
It’s misogynistic because the female characters are literally treated like rewards, like objects. The MC killed a bunch of dudes and now he gets a bunch of big tiddie orc women who don’t care that their husbands are dead.
•
u/KingNTheMaking 10m ago
Yaaaa digging into deeper, this wasn’t the one to defend.
I scrolled down and saw the first two comments were discussing the art. That got under my skin because I do think that people flame the chessy art a bit too much. Blinders went on.
But the story of “human murdered all our husbands. Now he claims us all as wives lol.” Is muuuuch more important to address
