Reddit’plaint Reddit users are aggressive
I've had so many people on this app get ridiculously angry at me for misunderstandings they've had about my posts, and it sucks. It feels like no matter what you say on this stupid site, someone will misinterpret it. And I shouldn't even bother, but I'll try to re-explain what I originally meant, and I apologize for upsetting them, genuinely, too! And they'll be like, "No, you believe (thing I am actively clarifying, I don't believe), and I HATE you for it." And no matter how much de-escalation I try, they only escalate, it only gets worse. People on this site just love to fight and argue. Like, I can't tell if there's just something about the way I talk that seems hostile, or if It's just the way it goes on here, or what, but it drives me crazy.
Not to get too personal, but I struggle a lot with self-esteem and shit. And nothing makes you wanna self-isolate more than when every attempt to de-escalate only makes things worse. They're probably just bots, or whatever sadistic jerks get enjoyment out of just arguing online all day. But for me, it's just depressing. I used to enjoy Reddit somewhat, but nowadays, for the sake of my mental health, I see no reason to continue using the app. From my experience, it's just a bit too toxic for me. It's sad, but it might just be better to go full-time lurker or straight-up delete for me.

No matter what, there will always be someone who you cant please. You could be the most moral, kind, and thoughtful person and someone will still have a problem with you. We can not control what ppl think of us, or how they will react, so why stress about it? Stick to your morals as long as they dont hurt ppl and hakuna matata
