Patrolling the mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter...

I used to be a Patrolling the Mojave like you, but then I took a Nuclear Winter To the knee

Man this costume looks awesome. A lot of great details in it with the straps, buckles, wrappings around your arms/legs. And I love that it actually looks grungy- like it’s been worn in the field.
And not that you asked, but I really feel like you could pull off an awesome Morpheus cosplay from the Matrix.

Thank you so much! I started putting together this cosplay back in December! The armor, punches and belt was made by a fellow in Armenia, so most of the credit goes to him. I definitely think wanted to make sure I artificially aged this uniform so I’m glad you noticed! Funny you mention Morpheus, people have been telling me I resemble him for years haha.

Yeah man the aging looks super great. Thats almost always my advice to people doing costumes and you nailed it.
Hey, and if you eventually do Morpheus, you have an excellent excuse to get a badass suit!

I was just thinking this! He has very similar facial features. Dude is a walking cosplay goldmine!!!
Also, great costume here! Looks very realistic, and worn. Great attention to detaill! Thank you for sharing!
....now....go be Morpheus, my good sir. The resistance needs you!

There's something about the flower in your helmet that both completes the cosplay AND serves as character storytelling...... we love it

It was actually such a cool moment! As me and my group were patrolling the festival grounds, a woman in the crowd shouted for me and said “I want to give you something!” She then placed the flower in the barrel of my service rifle. I decided to then keep the flower in my helmet to remember that moment! It was so cool.

Ah yes, the "flower power" display from antiwar protesters at the vietnam war! This is something they did back in 1967! What a sweet gesture <3

I immediately thought of that very famous picture of the protester doing the same thing!

I am pleasantly suprised when people remember that. What an awesome moment!

It’s such a moving image that says so much. May get a canvas printed of it someday!

Looks awesome my only issue is your gun looks too maintained, don’t you know in fallout we lost our ability to clean or maintain literally anything when the nukes fell?

You’re right! I have to go back to my unclean metal shack and rub some trash on it 😂

I had to do a double take at the first picture. I thought I was looking at Laurence Fishhburne at first

Dem leg wraps! I keep telling myself to get some food tromping the woods.

Being a WW1 Reenactor as well definitely helped prepare me for this cosplay! Love me some leg wraps!
