Need help with yogurtland coupon

Hello everyone!

So long story short, I’ve been going to yogurtland only when I get coupons for them. The deals are usually buy 1 get 1 free, buy 1 get 1 50% off and buy 1 get $2 off your purchase I believe.

So I go to the store and obv I read the rules and regulations of the coupon. Before I got a cup, I asked one of the workers if there’s a cup size limit to which they said no. I get the big cups and present the coupon when I get to the register. The manager of the store laughs and says that I’m violating the coupon by getting the big cup sizes. I smile back and reply that I’m not because the coupon doesn’t state anything about size restrictions. She gets the coupon up to my face and points at the picture, saying that the picture is showing small cup sizes so I can only buy small cup sizes with that coupon. I ask her to point out where the rules state that because it’s to my understanding that the images are only visuals and not a form of regulation.

So my question is; do these coupons have cup size restrictions?

It doesn’t mention cup size restrictions anywhere on the coupon - she should’ve let you use the coupon

It doesn’t right!! So it shouldn’t matter if I get the big cups or not correct? I’m genuinely so confused bc she was being so persistent about me breaking the rules and taking advantage of the coupon.

This place is pay-by-weight anyway, why would the cup size matter.. if you’re paying for 1oz then you’re getting 1oz for free, same if it’s 100oz and 100oz. Pile that tiny cup to the sky I guess?

Lmaooooo! I did not think about that! If the same manager says I can’t get the big cup, then I’ll do that next time I go!

I mean it doesn’t really matter what the picture on the coupon is if you asked the employee about the coupon and cup size before you even got your yogurt. If a manager comes out and wants to be a stickler that’s just life sometimes honestly. I would say if it works at the register then the coupon is valid and not being misused. It literally just goes by weight anyways, like you could honestly probably do a really high swirl on the sample cup and make it weigh as much as a bigger cup

Entry level workers there make minimum wage and managers probably not much more, and they’ve sent out these high value coupons each month for the past 4 years because they’re obviously struggling and have been for a while. I try not to be a Karen often, but especially since you are a frequent flyer, I would recommend a call/email to corporate. Not to ask about the coupon stipulations but just to share your experience about what happened. Nothing is promised but I would bet money they will mail you some free coupons for the biggest cup possibly with absolutely no stipulations lol

Sometimes corporations don’t do the best job at explaining to their front line workers that customer satisfaction is so important because it correlates directly with customer retention.

If the manager truly laughed at you and then tried to make you think you were using the coupon wrong and then went and rung you up anyways without any type of special override, then he was probably just craving a power trip

I would've left the filled large cups on the counter. There now they lose the price of 2

lol I did! She tried to charge me regular price for both of the cups and I WAS NOT about to pay $45 for two cups of frozen yogurt
