If you want to do that then fine be up front about it. Did he ever say he was going?

No. Who cares. A lot of his personal friends are on the staff there.

Put off because he chose to see the former ISU coach, numerous ISU players, all of which he may have some sort of personal relationship with, on a day ISU isn't playing? Let the man have his freedoms, damn. It's not that serious.

Most Cyclone fans I've talked to, not people on the internet, would be ecstatic for Matt to come back. I'd guess Chris is one of them.

Um we have a coach. I have no ill will towards MC, but he’s gone.

No kidding Iowa State has a head coach. Its obvious I didn't mean MC walks back in next week or next year. But I've talked to more than enough ISU fans to know her be welcomed back if the situation came up.

No. The fact that he had to address this on the CF premium board is embarrassing. Dude has given 20+ years to Iowa State after growing up a Hawk fan.

No. There's zero reason to be "put off" by CW doing something in his private time, and he owes you no explanation, up front or afterward. CF coverage was robust - nothing at all was hurt by this. He has given more to ISU than you could ever imagine. Let the man live his life.

No. The people upset by this are showing seriously misplaced priorities.

1) he’s been upfront about it for awhile.

2) he has family there who he is obviously close with.

3) do you think he just quit being friends with people he’s worked with for a decade?

I really can’t believe people are put off by it. I mean, I can believe, I just find it utterly childish and totally lacking in human perspective.

Why would this be a problem? I would've like to have been their myself.

This is a non-issue. Who cares

He has talked about his family out there for years. Whiteout, family, and his buddies out there coaching just makes sense for him to go. Just like I wouldn’t be surprised/care if he went to a South Carolina game. We will had all the game coverage we normally had

He did say he was going and it is such a non issue that he went to support people he's friends with.
