Akira Toriyama also decided that certain things were no longer canon and retconned stuff, so anything could happen (not saying I want this, just pointing out the possibilities).
GT isn't canon but who really cares? considering its popular enough to still compete with main stream media for DB and not get left behind in the dust even after decades of new works like Daima etc like Naruto fillers, people obviously liked it enough to make it canon ' adjacent'.
1) 21 wasn't canon in fighterz or Xenoverse, the movie Super Hero fixed that.
2) Bardock wasn't canon until Super manga, despite having a few specials.
3) Fu, Mira and Towa weren't canon in heroes/ DB Online yet Toriyama was involved and ended up making a manga with Toyotaro for it. ended up in XV2/ 1. Also Demigra and the other shenrons.
4) the biggest elephant for the room Broly and Gogeta were made canon with movie and manga after DECADES of movie content
Cooler and Janemba might never be canon but we never know because broly made it. but what's important is GT was a never forgotten part of the franchise. Bardock was somewhat of a retcon in the Granolah saga (my fav! manga part), but it doesn't change his popularity

Kishimoto created boruto and sarada in naruto chapters 701 to 710, kishimoto wrote the boruto movie, Kishimoto wrote all the major plot points of boruto up to the end, and since he wanted to write his mamga samurai 8, he allow kodashi to write boruto until he was done with samurai 8, be it that kishimoto and kodasho met regularly and had to come to an agreement to how the story was being written, when kishimoto finished samurai 8, he came back at chaptwr 52 of boruto and wrote chapters 52 through 80 of boruto, when tbv came around kishimoto gave ikemoto all the major plot points of boruto and allowed him to write it, while kishomoto meets regularly with ikemoto make sure they come to an agreement to how the story is going.
Bro, kishimoto wrote 52 to 80, ikemoto, wrote from tbv onwards. Look up any other source and you will see Kishimoto took from 52 to 80. You are only looking at 1 source that is not correct look at multiple and find the truth
I heard it from Kishimoto's and Ikemoto's mouths live, but whatever you say. There are not multiple sources. There are multiple buzzword websites regurgitating the same article based on the mistranslated tweet. It never said Kishimoto was taking over, it said that the script would continue to follow his.
I never said he didn't write the "major plot points." The entire Boruto manga script is Kishimoto's, albeit heavily altered at this point. For example, Code was supposed to die before TBV, but Ikemoto, the author, changed that.
