Newcomer Questions 9 Darwin LCNs (2026)

Hey Darwinites. Is the Nine Darwin multiplex now:
9/90 9HD Darwin (MPEG-4 HD)
91 9Gem (MPEG-4 HD)
92 9Go! (MPEG-4 HD)
93 9Life (MPEG-4 SD)
95 Extra (MPEG-4 SD)

Can anyone from Darwin please confirm for me?

EDIT: I'm not from Darwin but in another WIN market, just researching. According to their website, there is no mention of channel 95.

The list according to WIN:
To streamline the viewing experience, the WIN Network will also adjust its Logical Channel Numbers (LCNs) in Darwin as follows:

  • Channel 9 & 90: 9HD
  • Channel 91: 9Gem HD
  • Channel 92: 9Go!
  • Channel 93: 9Life

The WIN Network is scheduled to make the following technology enhancements tomorrow (Wednesday 23 September 2026) for our Darwin viewers.

As part of WIN’s ongoing investment in modern broadcasting infrastructure, all remaining standard-definition (MPEG-2) channels will transition to the modern MPEG-4 format, and legacy MPEG-2 simulcasts will be retired. The upgrade delivers improved picture quality, enhanced signal efficiency, and greater flexibility for future Free-to-Air programming.

Updated Channel Lineup (LCNs)

To streamline the viewing experience, the WIN Network will also adjust its Logical Channel Numbers (LCNs) in Darwin as follows:

• Channel 9 & 90: 9HD

• Channel 91: 9Gem HD

• Channel 92: 9Go!

• Channel 93: 9Life

Thanks for the reply. Was this list from WIN's page (https://www.wintv.com.au/page/darwin-technology-and-channel-upgrades)?

If you are in Darwin, could you please send a screenshot of your TV's channel list? Have you rescanned or not? I'm curious as to whether Extra or Gold is showing up on channel 95?

No. I just said it wasn't there. If you don't believe me, unlucky for you.

I searched Google yesterday and WIN's page only lists 9/90, 91, 92 and 93. I am not sure if a infomercial channel is on the Darwin multiplex, so if anyone from there can check their channel list, that would confirm it.
