Did the driver of the Highlander have a stroke or something? It looks like they just put it in drive and jumped in the passenger seat

Thought the video was about the idiot in the BMW that drove around the pedestrian then got the bonus feature.

Granted, the pedestrian was also an idiot walking in the middle of the road with no crosswalk, but still

Is the driver okay? They seem to just be... rolling.

Looks like medical emergency, we need OP to tell us what happened afterward

Yeah that’s possibly an old person or something. Fainted or diabetic in shock.

Where did they wind up going? Into one of the driveways or back on the road after a detour on the sidewalk?

Looks like Ol' boy forgot he/she wasn't in Philly, where the sidewalks are considered "alternate" route.

*Source: Philly girl ( I don't drive on the sidewalk) I only park slightly on it if the street is stupid narrow and it's that or bye bye side mirror

Person was probably going to turn into that parking lot on your left Iykyk.......seen people act like they are semi truck drivers to get into oncoming traffic because there's a parking space on the right & one of the people was in one of those very small Smart brand cars

That second one looks like a medical event that you might've wanted to pull over and check on

wtf is this street

Maybe he is from a country where they drive on the left, like the UK. I have seen this happen before. I think he realized his mistake and corrected by pulling off the road. This kind of thing can happen on small town roads.

Where is this? Want to make sure I never drive there…

This is a silly over reaction. You're allowed to cross a double yellow line to enter a drive way. He didn't do it smoothly but that's he did.

Lol if he were turning into a driveway, sure. Aimlessly drifting into oncoming traffic going the wrong way before winding up on the sidewalk .. not so much.

u/GasparLotto 37m ago

Wasn't aimlessly he went to the drive way. I think he did some bullshit maneuver saw the cam car coming was like oh fuck then drifted in a panick and eventually went to the drive way.

2

u/UpbeatFix7299 35m ago

So he was planning on driving the wrong way for a while and eventually going into a driveway? I don't know what the fuck he was doing, but it certainly wasn't a legal left turn into a driveway.

You turn into a driveway at a 90 degree angle. From the correct side of the road.

I fucking can't stand reddit drivers. They were very clearing pulling into the next drive way. Did they turn early? Absolutely. Did the turn early enough to confuse an oncoming driver. Possibly. But there was no need to drive all the away up to them from the point they crossed the double lines in the video from where the driver first saw them do it. The cam driver had so much space not to do that.

And pretty much all the comments here so far indicate that they don't even know the driver was possible pulling into a driveway.

If you're used to doing dumb shit and expecting people to get out of your way, this type of thinking makes sense.

It isn't hard to make a normal turn. We do it every day. The other car had no clue what they were doing. Sure they were going into a driveway eventually but you do it like a normal human instead of going in a straight line to it the wrong way.

It's called defensive driving. I hope that is still a thing. I get what your saying. There is no reason from the viewpoint of the cam driver to pull up all the way to the driver crossing over that early other than the mindset of if your legally right than that's all that matters. They had so much time from when they saw them crossing the double yellow lines.

I'm just saying an actual reasonable driver would realize they are pulling into the next driveway and give them space.

Is this a thing you do?
