And by literally DAWless I mean the least amount of digital and/or workstation-like setups.
I know about “look ma, no computer”.
What other projects you know about who went DAWless as possible in the literal sense of the word?

Just finished a faster, atmospheric House session built entirely standalone on the Elektron Digitone 2 with no external gear and no samples. Everything you hear is pure FM synthesis and virtual analog engines running straight from the machine.
For this track, I wanted to push the tempo and capture that energetic Ghetto-Tech vibe while maintaining a deeply atmospheric, lush, and melancholic house feeling. Let me know what you think :)

I feel that in 2026 we’re seeing more live “dj” sets than ever before. In a time when everyone can become a dj, mixing has become table stakes.
I’m talking about people bringing music making hardware on stage and playing live drum loops, synthesizers and creating electronic music on the fly. Some artists that come to mind are Jeff Mills, DC Salas, Avis Vox.
I wanna know if you have any favorites you’ve seen recently and if you think we’ll see this continue?
Links to live sets on YouTube of your favorites would be appreciated!!

In this tutorial, we explore Graphic Motion Rec in Doom OS for the SP404 mk2: a powerful feature for recording and automating effect parameters in a visual, precise, and much more comprehensive way than the original firmware.
You’ll see how to create movement, transitions, and FX variations, perfect for live sets, resampling, techno, house, and sound design.
How would you use this feature in your SP-404 workflow?
Enjoy!

Hey everyone!
I'm looking for some advice on the best sampler, synth, or other tool for recording loops or audio from my hardware synths so I can save them and play them back later.
I've been doing some research, and it seems like the Elektron Octatrack could be a great option for this kind of workflow. However, it's quite expensive, especially brand new, and from the videos I've watched, it also seems to have a pretty steep learning curve. Unfortunately, the price is probably the biggest issue for me.
However, my goal has evolved: I don't just want a simple audio player; I really want to be able to completely mangle, slice, glitch, and transform these recorded loops in real-time during live jams. As long as it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. Otherwise, i can go without real time changes on my jams.
My current setup is: Behringer TD-3 / Roland JU-6A / Roland TR-8S
Ideally, I'd like to record sounds or loops from my synths, save them, and trigger them later as part of my setup, without having to recreate everything from scratch.
Based on your experience, what would you recommend? Is the Octatrack worth saving up for, or are there more affordable and beginner-friendly alternatives that could do the job?
I'd really appreciate any suggestions or recommendations based on your own experience!
Thanks in advance! :)

Adding some spice to an ambient & trancey techno track.
Novation Peak is one of my favorite synth,
so why not go dual?

First time with this configuration. I feel like I need just one more thing, but I have no idea what else to add. I'm thinking Launch Control XL 3, something granular, or really just something that isn't another sampler. Not interested in learning an elektron workflow quite yet, I just got the Deluge.
Enjoy! I know it's repetitive, feel free to skip around. I'm really just playing around
