Hi all, I have a Renault Captur (newer shape, 71 plate) and I’d like to be able to lock the car when the engine is running (my research tells me Renault block this feature for safety purposes. My Ford focus can do it and it’s a handy feature if dogs are in the car and I need to pop into the shop quickly for example.

I’m set up with the software and hardware, but understand Renault can be cryptic with their naming of functions. Would anyone be able to suggest where I should look?

Or if it’s not possible it will save me time trying!

(update: 26/05/2026) la EQ de EasyLink si funciona solo que ahora de una manera muy sutil.

Quiero aclarar que este procedimiento es para instalar un amplificador Aftermarket, o para quienes no les guste el ecualizador dinámico, que trae el sistema de amplificación interno de la pantalla y Easylink. Con esto es lo que logras es que la calidad de la onda de audio a tus altavoces sea lo más limpia y sin recorte. Este método hará que el volumen máximo de tu equipo disminuya un poco, pero mejore la calidad de audio.

🧩 El problema
El sistema EasyLink usa un DSP Arkamys que por defecto aplica un perfil agresivo de protección para los altavoces originales. Esto incluye:
Compresión dinámica
Limitador de transitorios
Recorte agresivo de graves
Procesamiento espacial Arkamys completo
Limitación RMS de la salida
Funciona bien con el equipo OEM, pero se vuelve un problema serio cuando instalas DSP externos, amplificadores aftermarket o subwoofers con entrada high-level.

Síntomas observados:
Subwoofer cortando alrededor de ~40Hz
Caída general de volumen con cada golpe de grave
Audio sonando “procesado” y artificial
Graves muy limitados
Controles EQ prácticamente inútiles

💡 El descubrimiento
Encontré que el comportamiento del audio cambia completamente según el perfil de amplificador configurado en:
Navigation-UCC-ITM → A_IVI_v2.10 → System Information $DAB1
Valor original de fábrica:
Output_Information = Internal AMP (4channels)
Lo cambié por:
Daimler AMP (4channels)
Y el resultado fue una mejora brutal en la señal.

Si quieres ecualización después, necesitarás un DSP externo (Helix, Match, Audison, etc.).

🔈 Mi configuración
Subwoofer: Harman Kardon HKTS 210SUB/230
(Modificado: alimentación 12V + entrada high-level)
Conectado directamente a las salidas traseras del EasyLink.
Antes: Graves recortados, limitador constante, volumen cayendo, sonido comprimido.
Después: Graves reales por debajo de 40Hz, transitorios limpios, señal natural y sin compresión.

Hi, Not sure if this is the correct place to post it. I used Renolink to try to reset my oil change cycle. I wanted to test the writing, so I changed the vale from liter to gallon. Unfortunately I hit "New FULL configuration application" and the error in the display appeard. Apparently this means when the configuration has implausible values. I changed the gallon back to litre. But this didn't do the trick. Unfortunately I don't have a backup of the previous/default state. Any hint how to solve this ? (Besides going to Renault/Dacia of course)

I don’t understand why is not possible to enable the function, I’ve find the correct section around the various menu’s, following a guide for the same function on a Clio. In the past I’ve successfully enabled some function on my smart 453, like auto wipes and auto lights, so I know a bit how to use properly the software, but whit this other car I’m not lucky apparently. Im trying to make the dash of my megane mk3 2010 show time and outside temperature but in the cluster settings it shows "no data". The car clearly has the data but i cannot click anything here. Im using a compatible usb scanner with the required chip. Also only in megane 3's i cannot always enter straight into the injection ecu. Thanks
