not sure i'll paint a full army in this scheme but i always loved the whole swollen, bloody and rusty look to Masahiro Ito c: you might know him from the og Silent hill games, he was the concept artist!

I got into 40k around 5-6 months ago and ive never played a game, how playable are these, for the last one the primer came out badly. What kind of level do these look like

First post here to get some advice about my first deathguard unit! Newish to the hobby, this will be the second faction I properly start working on, and try some very gentle kitbashing stuff, aiming to create some sort of Pirates of the Caribbean Davy Jones mix, while keeping a bunch of the normal deathguard vibe with a bunch of vehicles. Any criticism welcome, my main worry is I wasn't careful enough with the rust which left some stains, and edge highlights need more work for sure! And obviously, I still have the base to do :)

She's climbing

Despite being from 2014, and a pain in the rear end to paint, this has to be my favourite model in my death guard army.

On the table top this is poor value for points in comparison to other units available. Looking at the blight haulers behind it they have greater movement, more wounds available, better ranged weapons with more attacks & is cheaper in points too.

Will this be in my death guard army? Yes.

Will I win? Probably not.

Is it cool? Hell yeah.

Anyone else have a favourite unit which is poor value competitively?

(I also painted a Tallyman, but he didn't come out as good)

Do they get honors from their warband leader like space marines or just more plagues from Nurgle? Asking because some time ago I played a game against World Eaters where my Plague Marine Sergeant punched Angron in the kneecap so heard he died. Been trying to think of a reward since.

Inspo from Grimdark Compendium. Really like the theme and fits the rest of my army I’m painting. What do you guys think? I’m wondering if a matte varnish spray to finish it off would work.

Hi all, I see Morty in all of these lists and as a new DG player, I want to use him. Given that he doesn’t have a typical reroll aura etc, I assume his reactive move aura is the sweet sauce?

Can I get some examples and tips on staging, combos and how to use him to maximize the rest of your army?

Thinking about running this list next RTT, any critique, adjustments or tips would be much appreciated.
