Dechonk in progress

Hi ! We are dechonking this fat ass of 12 year old.
He is getting fatter as he get older.
He is eating less (around 45g of dry food per day). It was way much before.

It is a big size cat. Usually how much your cats loose per week ? 100g ?

This picture is glorious. My rescue kitty has lost about 4 lbs in two years. He still weighs 24 lbs tho.

how old is he ?

How did you manage to reduce his weight ?

we got him an automatic feeder from petlibro! he still tries to steal from his brother, though. they used to free feed together before we got them and it was...a problem. We try and get him some extra exercise with the feather wand. As he has lost weight though, he's gotten more frisky, so I think that helps some. He's somewhere between 9 and 10 years old.

yes, they each wear an RFID tag on their collars linked to their specific feeder.
