I'm a Tyus Truther but this was too funny not to upvote.

Good. He’s very responsible with the ball and makes good decisions. All he needs to do is figure out whether to give the ball to Demar or how to hold onto it for a bit before he gives it to Demar.

What if he goes with third option dribbles left THEN give it to Demar?

Then the season might be fucked

I thought he looked completely serviceable. I am not concerned about him losing games but I also am not expecting him to win any games for the Nuggets.

Ok so i guess we can expect him to draw games for us

If we draw the bench minutes that’s good enuf.

People have amnesia about that game 5 against wolves. Yall point out Cam doing his thing, but forgetfully forget Tyus being the best at being a point guard… you know penetrating and kicking it out for 3

There is plenty of amnesia around the league about why Nuggs lost the TWolves series. Jokic and Murray couldn't hit open shots, that was basically all it was. Minny was not as good as they looked, and Nuggs weren't as bad, but its a make or miss league.

Honestly true, if he can penetrate Wolves , he deserves proper minutes

Barring a trade, I actually think Strawther and Diallo get more minutes, as season goes along. With Demar and Strawther on the floor, against second units, do you really need a traditional point? Especially if Jokic is staggering with Murray. Those other guys bring more to the table.

If he plays as he did with the Grizzlies, that would be an absolute steal.

Lmao at everyone in this thread talking about the offensive side. Don’t forget basketball is played on both sides. We boutta see Tyus be a traffic cone on D.

The Nuggets are so used to not having anyone that could dribble that when they get someone that can they forget he’s mediocre

Tyus is Pickett 2.0 he’ll look decent while having zero impact and eventually he’ll be cut from the playoffs rotation

They need to trade for Kris Dunn before some other team does

I mean a bench PG really only needs to be mediocre lol. The spurs had arguably the best backup PG in the playoffs and still lost to the Knicks with Jose Alvarado off their bench. Tyus is not much worse at all than Josè. Pickett meanwhile cannot take the ball down the court without turning his back to a defender… big difference there.

Like I said because Pickett couldn’t dribble and Tyus can Nuggets fans think he’s an upgrade lol Tyus is a million times worse than Alvarado. Tyus doesn’t do much theres a reason why he’s had 2 positive seasons in the last 9 years meanwhile Alvarado has been a positive in 5 of his last 6.

He's significantly better and more proven than Pickett, though. Doesn't turn the ball over. Can orchestrate an efficient offense. The only real question mark in the playoffs for Tyus is whether he'll hold up defensively.

That said, I'd trade for Dunn either way.

He’s not significantly better than Pickett he’s just as bad he might be a better playmaker than Pickett but Pickett is a way better defender.

He also can’t orchestrate an efficient offense. he’s only had 2 positive offensive seasons in the last 6 years.

His defense in the playoffs isn’t a question mark either he’a a bad defender and on this team that will only look worse.

Its Dunn or bust.

You mean the Kris Dunn who the Clippers had to bench against the Nuggets in the 2025 playoffs because he wasn't good enough? To be fair he ended up playing minutes but only because they literally had nobody else, but the point remains that the Clippers were searching for an answer because he wasn't good enough. He's not a playoff level player. It would be a waste to use assets to bring that caliber of player in a trade.

I think Dunn makes some sense for this roster if Diallo isn’t good enough Dunn is at least a proven difference maker defensively and the Nuggets can put lineups out where he’s the worst shooter.

Yes, that same Dunn. Last time I checked the Clippers sren’t the Nuggets so who cares if he didn’t work out with them in the playoffs. His fit with Denver would be a million times better.
