Fan Post Some examples from Alan Wilder

Does anyone have the original samples from Alan's ETS bank?I'm looking for about three specific samples; if anyone has the original bank with all its samples at 100%, please contact me.

Someone posted a link to his emax samples on here. Try search for it (they're the 101 and devotional tour samples)

I highly doubt they are on the 101 sample banks given the dates involved. :-)

Wdym? It came out in '86, so it came out 2 years ago, the year 101 happened

Think the poster means couldn’t be on the 101 samples as that was 87/88.And ETS wasn’t even penned till maybe 89, let alone constructed into the finished article till the producer worked on it for the album ( 1990).

not sure what the 1986 reference is though. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yepp. I have no idea why the poster mentioned 86. Maybe he is a time traveller and mixed his dates up?

the original Emax sound bank for Enjoy the Silence was not included in Alan's auction so it is still unreleased. I'd suggest extract the choir/brass samples from Gordeno's IEM recordings (Dusseldorf 2006 is the best one if I recall; you may need to use stem separation to remove some vocals but most of the chords are clean). The chords are pre-recorded and mapped to their respective root note key, if that makes sense.

The "ahh" sustains for the end melody were re-used in Martin's In Your Room bank so you can just take them from there.

The harpsichord stabs were taken from the Emulator III factory libraries, with a chorus. The horn sample is from the Emulator II factory library.

Not sure about the bass stabs sadly!
