Career & Advice 2026 Graduate Unplaced Need advice

Hi everyone, I am 2026 btech cse graduate from tier 3 collage i have done 4 month of internship which ended in August and i dont have any good skills as of now. So i am learning java spring boot and doing DSA.

But the thing is i am so demotivated now, all my friends are placed and earning and here i am without any job i dont even have any idea when will i'll able to get a job and the worst thing is that i can not apply for majority of mass hiring companies because in my 10th class i got 59% and majority of this mass hiring company has a minimum 60% through out the 10th,12th and under graduation.

so learning java spring boot is correct thing i am doing and how to look for my first job and i can get little bit comfortable with java spring in next 1-2 month

Howdy u/Ok_Tradition_7926, and welcome to r/developers!

A few tips for a post that gets good answers:

  • Use a clear, specific title (what are you actually asking or sharing?).
  • Include code, the exact error, versions, and what you already tried.
  • Heads-up: this sub does not allow external links in posts or comments.
Share code and details directly instead of linking out.

That 59% filter is a killer but plenty of smaller companies and startups dont care about grades at all. They want to see if you can actually build something.

Spring Boot is a good stack to focus on, just make sure you're pushing real projects to github not just following tutorials. A working api with a database and some clean error handling will put you ahead of half the candidates who only have leetcode on their resume.
