Announcement Updated Rules for Vet Bill Fundraising & Donations

Hi everyone! To make sure donations go to dogs that truly need it, we're reiterating our rules in place for fundraising posts.
If you need to raise money for vet bills, here's what you need to do:
- Get Mod Approval First Don't post your fundraiser directly. Send a Modmail first with the subject "Fundraising Request - [Dog's Name]". Unapproved posts will be removed. Do not message individual mods directly; any direct messages will be ignored.
- Account Requirements Your Reddit account must be at least 90 days old and have at least 500 combined karma, with visible post and comment history. For security reasons, we will not allow someone who meets the karma requirements to post on someone else’s behalf.
- "Proof of Life" Photo Take a photo of your dog while holding a handwritten note with your Reddit username, today's date, and "r/dogsofrph". If the dog is at the clinic, use the vet bill or prescription instead, or ask the vet to take the photo.
- Vet Documentation Provide a clear photo or scan of an itemized bill or estimate from a licensed vet. You can hide your personal details as well as the vet’s license info, but the clinic name, logo, location, and phone number must be visible. Include these in your modmail.
- Direct-to-Vet Option As much as possible, we will forward the funds to the vet directly, so please ask them to provide their GCash and/or other banking info.
For Donors The mod team will do our best to screen requests, but please donate at your own risk. Check the user's post history and look for the "Fundraising - Mod Approved" flair before sending money. When donating to our community GCash, include a "For [pet name]" note.
Asking for Resources is Still Okay
The rules above only apply to fundraising. If you just need help finding:
• Affordable clinics
• Vet-related charities
• Local support groups
You can post freely, no approval needed. We know emergencies are overwhelming and we want this to stay a helpful space.

Hi, question my male dog recently underwent kapon last Oct 17.
Everything is fine he is eating well and drinks water pero nad-dilaan nya yung scrotum area and kanina nalick nya yung incision area may nakita ako parang white not sure if discharge pero after a few mins nawala din dito. Also swollen din 'to is it normal ba after kapon?
Nung una naka recovery suit sya with e collar now niremove ko na then nagplace ako parang donut collar then yung e collar.
Also binibigay ko prescribed meds such as co-amoxiclav and meloxicam. Then nagw-wound cleaning ako using Chlorhexidine spray/Povidone iodine

advice 🔍 Bearing vs St. Roche conditioner

Currently using St. Roche sweet embrace at nagtatagal po yung scent ng 2-3 days, planning to switch to diff conditioner po. May nababasa po ako na nagtatagal yung amoy ng sa bearing, mas better po ba yung bearing sa shih tzu fur? Or any reco po.
white fur po sya at may yellowish stain sa face (mostly dahil sa pumpkin at carrot), at sa hind leg at belly. currently using fur life yung blue po. Tia

advice 🔍 [advice needed] Dogs roaming in Subd

Hello! We have a lot of strays inside the subdivision and hindi ko man mapakain lahat, I make sure na laging may tubig na malinis sa harap namin. 1 year pa lang kami dito and unfortunately, madami kaming cruel na neighboors sa mga strays esp dogs. Kahit wala namang ginagawa ung mga strays and di namang nanghahabol laging hinahabol ng bato and nirereport sa GC last month pina pound nila ung mga aso and talagang naiyak ako. Alam naman natin kung ano mangyayari sa kanila. Can someone help me please kung meron pwedeng mag rescue sa kanila para mas mapabuti ung situation and di poubd ang kkuha sa kanila. Pleaseee..😢
