Discussion Found out today that Yob will be opening for Neurosis at the LA show in January (that I’m going to). My heart is not prepared.
BWHL is extra frosting on the cupcake, what a night this is gonna be.

I love all three bands, but Blackwater Holylight is gonna steal the show. They fucking kill live, one of the few 10/10 shows I've seen.

OMG, I wish. Elder postponed their show by me because a member got food poisoning and THEN pneumonia. Ugghh.

YOB show can’t be stolen. That shit is awesome. I did monitors for them once. I hate running monitors. YOB was the only band I enjoyed running monitors for.

I've seen YOB three times now, and each time I thought "Huh, so that's what it feels like to be ground into dust beneath an advancing glacier." 10/10

They were a bucket list band of mine for a good while, saw them in Denver at the Decibel metal fest. Thought my goddamn ribs were gonna rattle right out of my body, it was awesome

I would normally agree, but Neurosis is bucket list for me, and Aaron Turner in the band just seals that deal. And I say this with all respect to BWHL, what a perfect bill. Can’t wait.

Still my favorite of the year. But I love the Sleep album and the Russian circles. Sleep was awesome live (even without Pike) and can’t can’t for Russian circles.

Boards of Canada for me... It's so incredible. Love the new Russian Circles, haven't checked out the new Swans record yet.

I saw Yob live maybe around 2023 I think? They’re incredible live, you have a lot to look forward to.

Saw YOB play with Neurosis in SF, 2013 maybe? First time seeing either band. YOB closed with The Mental Tyrant and tbh I bulldozed, neurosis had a hard time following that.

My friend randomly gave me a YOB tote bag a few months ago and I had been using it often for beer runs to the corner store, then my landlord was in town and was in the basement going through some stuff and found an old YOB shirt and gave it to me.
I still have not seen them live, looking forward to it in the future

I’m jealous LA is getting YOB! At lest the Portland date is getting BWHL playing a hometown show, it’ll be my 3rd time seeing them this year. I will be seeing YOB in December so I won’t be missing them entirely!

I dunno I listened to Yob a few times but it’s a bit boring. Didn’t get it. But hey that’s just me. Maybe live it will be more fun

Don't sleep on Blackwater Holylight. That's been my album of the year even with the new Neurosis.
