But in short, I'm running a DND campaign in a sci-fi setting. And because the map itself is a frozen, brutalist industrial hell hole, I'm looking for fitting tracks to create a good mood for my players.
I already use Deathcore, Djent (like the DOOM soundtrack), Industrial Metal (Painkiller and Quake 2) and classical DSBM tracks for combat encounters. But I don't have much shit for "exploration" or "calm" moments (tracks for when my party is resting or having an emotional conversation). It's hard, you know? These tracks gotta feel "metal" and "hardcore" too, but I can't find anything that fits.
I want something that is like- the haunting, desolate intro DSBM songs have, but just focusing on that for the entire song. Kinda like exploration music in a video game. It never grows in intensity, it just has extra instruments added in the more you explore.

Cool stuff i got through a trade!
Suicide Forest - Silent Hill. Genuinely haunting and bleak material from Japan.
Gravsorg - Visions of Depression
Veine Mort - la mort comme liberte
Selbsttötung - Daseinsschmerz underrated gem from Germany. If you like raw dsbm like early Hypothermia and Trist, Check em out!
How have you guys been? Everything alright?
Greets!

Yesterday I uploaded here one of my songs and I was really happy to see that you liked it, so I decided show you one more. This song is more "metal" and agressive compared with previous, so, I'm waiting for you feedback :)

I love the really long, repetitive and hypnotic pieces by hypothermia like rakbladsvalsen del i, dagg, kaffe och blod, or svartade passenger but their specific tone and sparse vocals seems to be an uncommon niche i like where the vocals arent the focus and the guitar takes up most of the song

I think it would be cool to do a dsbm/atmospheric black metal band (Coldworld, my useless life, lifelover, sacrimoon, alcest, ya know) we could make very epic music. I’m 17m from Maine and have my own solo project called Neverending Suffering but i wanna start a band with people cause i wanna combine our talents together with our own taste and skills.
I will most likey do guitar and/or bass, i can vocals but i wanna hear yaks vocals first before we make that decision. And a drummer, for not to i can program.
My discords i Rawdong34 ( pfp is mark zuckerburg)

Lmk if you wanna start a band or if you need a guitarist, bassist or vocalist for your band:)

Of course, he ran the sketch through AI to digitize and refine it, but the original concept is still there. What do you think? Do you like it or are both versions dogshit quality?
Even more importantly: should I dedicate myself to making logos or artwork for a band?

Hi everyone, 4 months ago I started mixing and producing songs by myself (recently I had a two man band called Monophobia where I just played guitars and bass, you can check this out on streamings btw) and early I don't even had idea how music is creating like in DAWs. So I want to introduce you one of 4 songs I created by myself for 4 months that it seems the best for me. If you liked this one, I'll show you another 3.
P.S. there is no video, only song and black background🙃

Release date: October 10, 2026
Country: Brazil
Genre: Atmospheric Black Metal / Depressive Black Metal
Label: Independent release
Forgotten Oppressions is my latest album under My Last Cyst, my solo black metal project. I'm Cysist Lethargus, a 19 year old musician from Brazil, and I'm still learning the craft of composition and production through this project. Each release gives me another opportunity to experiment with sound, explore new ideas, and understand better what I want my music to become.
For this album, I wanted to explore psychological deterioration, alienation, and the feeling of being trapped inside a reality that gradually becomes unfamiliar. I was influenced by bands like Xasthur and NONE, their bands actually helped me a lot in my darkest moments, so i'm trying to make my version of their style, especially their use of atmosphere, repetition, and melancholic guitar work. I also wanted to push my own compositions toward more dissonant and unsettling territory, sometimes letting the music become so dense that the melodies seem almost buried beneath the sound.
The album is almostly instrumental, with vocals being most present in "Shape Of Abscense" One and Two, and in the other tracks vocals are mostly used as textures or unsoundly layers. I rely on the guitars, layers of distortion, repetition, and changes in atmosphere to express what I'm trying to convey. Some songs are buried in distortion, and you might not even notice the melody at first. In others, the guitars are much clearer. I wanted to have different sounds and moods across the album instead of repeating the same idea over and over.
This album realese, honestly, is a enormous step in my development as a musician. Forgotten Oppressions brings together the influences I listen to, the atmosphere I want to create, and the ideas I'm trying to express through music.

I run on the spectrum unfortunately, my apologies for the unnecessary question. I don't think it's a political reason since Kim is pretty much apolitical in that kind of way. I'm pretty curious if anyone knows about this. I know he used to work with Audrey on Horns Emerging and heard he was friends with Famine (not sure), I think he has some kind of beef with one of them. Saw a post about someone getting spit at by Kim and drawn over their vest in March on Kall tour for wearing a kpn patch. Anyone has any information about this?

If I recall correctly Sukkubys covered a song from the Berserk anime OST, but don't quote me on this, and even a Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars song ("Die With a Smile") for a comp. Feminizer of course did "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper and made it unrecognizable except for maybe the synth melodies

One of my all-time favorite depressive black metal artists from Norway.
I loved his work under the name Mareritt and continued to enjoy every release after he started releasing music as Helvetespine.
He took his own life in 2018 - another great musician gone way too soon.
