Anywhere I can play with cats?

Not a euphemism. Currently going through a really rough time and have already reached out for mental health support.

I’m looking for a wholesome distraction in-between talking about it and getting on with my Master’s. Cats have always calmed me down, anyone know where I can just hang out with one for a while?

I’ve got a pal who works for Cat in a Flat where she does cat sitting and is paid for it. Might not be suitable depending how much free time you have, access to a car etc but you can pick and choose the jobs you want, so some moggo time and some extra pennies. If you can drive there’s cats protection in Arbroath you can volunteer at

Yep, I would endorse this idea, it will get you busy and for a cause you are sympathetic with. We’ve got a few mogs from there over the years and it’s a good place.

You could volunteer as a befriender for various elderly charities. I'm sure quite a few pensioners have cats. Plus you're doing good for the community.

Hope you get your self sorted mentally. It’s a struggle that takes it toll. Don’t know about the cats though. Unless you wish to travel there is a cat cafe in Falkirk.

Cat charity rehoming shelters, or you could foster a cat/ kitten.... I'm currently fostering a little black floof ball- he's so funny and honestly get so much joy from him

Cats protection hires socialisation volunteers, i was one of them when i got out of carseview

bit of a journey but maison de moggy in edinburgh is great, lots of cats to play with :)
