Why aren't they doing this all the time? I don't know why it took a special project for them to work.

I must say that is a surprisingly small amount of drugs and cash from arresting 224 people. Must be entirely addicts milling around stealing stuff.

All mentally ill homeless men and women who will be back on the streets a lot of wasted money and time circle will go around and around take a drive through DT Oshawa tonight and take a look

Out of the 500 arrests majority of them probably don’t even have a fixed address.

I’m guessing they went to Oshawa and arrested a bunch of homeless people. Yeah great work.
What a fucking waste of resources

Homeless people that apparently had 12 grams of Fentanyl and over half a kilo of cocaine.
Being homeless isn't a free pass to act like a piece of shit and face no accountability.

So the average amount of fentanyl was 53mg and the average amount of cocaine was 3 grams....user amounts.
If they found even one wholesale distributor they would have found that entire quantity with one person.

53mg is a huge amount.

It’s not at all.

Can you explain you calculation rationale.

Depending on body weight, metabolism, and opioid tolerance a 2mg dose can be fatal.

Fent users have a built up tolerance. 53 mg is enough to last a heavy user like 2 weeks

No homeless person had a half kilo of cocaine lmao. What a privileged ignorant response

The numbers seem skewed to make it look like a bigger deal than it actually is. How many of those repeat offenders will stay locked up? Probably not many. How will this action improve the streets? It probably won't. Only thing this increases, are reasons to try to justify why the officers' salaries should be higher, when in reality this changes nothing for the general public's safety.

Out on bail and 90% will gets 8 hours of community service so “Operation Atlantis 3” can be launched in 2028 for more brownie points for Durham Police. Nothing will be fixed until the Liberal judicial system is fixed.

490 arrests involving 224 individuals. So arrest -> release -> arrest and some a threepeat!
