Small gifts to hosts
Hello, soon we are going to Ecuador and we will have local hosts, who were very helpful for us during our travel preparation. We want to bring them some small gifts, and besides some local souvenirs (we are from Europe) we were wondering if there is something what locals would appreciate? If it matters, our hosts are women, from Amazon area. Thank you in advance!

Regarding the PS5, no you wouldn't need to declare it at the border.
Jokes aside, I think you should try to remember what did their home needed or could use a replacement; depending on the answer, you could bring something from your own hometown that give that "Home" feeling.
Depending on each person, someone could appreciate some liquor, tobacco, maybe some board games or even some tech.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
If you need anything else, just hmu, I'll be glad to help.

Baby aspirin is difficult to get there. My friend owns a pharmacy and asks up to bring the low dose aspirin.

Are they poor and live in isolated areas of the Amazon? In that case, medicine and candy + shirts for the immediate family of where you are from. The most important is the medicine
Medicine: medication. For pain, for fever, for stomach issues, etc.
