Just a friendly suggestion after going through a rather stressful couple of days.
Crown Store purchases don't 'leave a paper trail' that can be referenced later (so to speak) so when you make a purchase I suggest you keep a log or a diary of what you purchased and when.
Hopefully you will never need it but if you ever do you will be grateful that you did.
Also the 'memorable word', don't assume that you remember it a decade+ later, make sure that you actually do (remember it or have it safely stored).
Finally the exact date when the account was created. Not vaguely 'at some point during the beta'; if you no longer have access to the original activation email for whatever reason - which would provide this info - get it from your account page and store it safely too.
This is not 'attention seeking' by the way, I am not being deliberately vague so I get asked and immediately proceed to dump stuff that does not belong in this sub.
I think everyone can infer what happened and I am just suggesting three things I wish someone had told me because it would have prevented a stressful evening from becoming a very stressful weekend.

I know this may not reach them and its likely that its stating the bleeding obvious but I thought I'd have a go articulating my own thoughts on where this game is at after only just recently getting into it last month. I've already put over a hundred hours in and am genuinely enjoying it more than any other MMO experience I've had in a very long time.
For all it's flaws ESO is actually a gem. There's always things that can be improved on but fundamentally an MMO with a significant amount of PVE, PVP, Roleplaying, Crafting and exploration content is rare these days. The game has amazing lore to lean back on and charecter creation and diversity is probably second to none IMO. Yes the meta appears to be a bit screwed up with DK and WW dominating way too much but objectively I think we know that this is a short-term issue as other classes are on their way to being buffed.
What I think really appears to be causing the most anxiety in this game is the lack of communication and general uncertainty. Delayed changes to classes, a completely changed rollout model and the recent layoffs have made people question what really is next for the game. What the developers may or may not be fully appreciating is that an MMO player is drastically different than a normal gamer. A normal gamer plays a game with the expectation of there being an end to that experience, their thinking is short term and their personal investment reflects that. When picking or sticking with an MMO people try to work out whether or not its a long term environment worthy of sinking a huge amount of time into, sometimes more than other real life pursuits. Is this world one that will; a) keep other players in and thus make it worthwhile having guilds, friendships and rivals b) have enough ongoing content that i wont or cant truly reach the end and c) make changes that reward the dedication of an MMO player whilst simultaneously bringing in enough new content to attract others to the game. An MMO is like a party, it either constantly has people coming and going enough to make the people who stay not feel stupid for not going to the other party up the road or it doesnt and eventually everyone leaves.
The crazy thing is, due to sunk cost fallacy, the amount required to keep existing players happy and engaged is such a low bar relative to creating a new game and generating a whole new player base, its crazy that this model isn't better engaged with. Think of the amount of time and energy needed to create a AAA game that people will pay $100 for as compared with an expansion or seasonal content that takes a fraction of the time and supporters will still pay $40-$50 for.
I guess what i'm saying is this, in the vain hope that someone actually reads this post. Divide your team into 2 -> Acquisition and Retention. For retention to work you need little bits of endgame content every few months, a balanced pvp scene and some form of new endgame chase for veterans to continue to sink time into. Acquisition is bringing in new people to make those veterans still feel like their at a cool party, participate in activities, run guilds and help new players. The Acquisition component needs a bit of a marketing budget, a clear way for players to join the world and catch up at least partly and a clear funnel to move them into long-term dedicated players.
ESO more than any other has the base to do this, the lore and story gives you a huge amount to work with, the game is really already built, classes can be expanded on if need be and new systems can be tacked on. The last touted figures of c. $15m per month in revenue, even if its less now, is still a $100m + a year revenue business which could / should throw off $20m in profit. I don't see it shutting down any time soon but it will die a slow death if someone who understands mmo's doesnt do a proper deep dive on this.

I really like this aquarium, but the noise… the noise is too loud! It didn’t use to make all that noise before

The recent "eyes of reprisal" from the crown crates allowed me to make him more like the Skyrim version of himself, which came first. Yay for consistency!

I asked this question because solo builds are generally a lot more interesting than normal. DPS builds. I have my own solo bill that’s been doing pretty good at clearing very dungeons and some dlc dungeons but I’m curious what everyone else is running

I've just started the game, bought the deluxe edition, so some of the addons are opened. But it leads to a little mess. In my first town, Daggerfall, I already met two quests which uncovers some spoilers: the Thieves Guild in Daggerfal (which I supposed to take after I finish questline in Hew), and the quest given by prince Azah where I was surprised to find that Merric (whom I just met outside of the town gates as a fellow guild member) has been nominated as a guild master a long time ago...
Welp, the question is - is there a simple way to avoid those spoilers? Maybe some mods?..
Thank you!

You'd think when you make build that can melt your enemies that your fights might be more relaxing... WRONG! You will always find someone whose made a build that can outlast you and make you feel like you can't kill them no matter what, and are capable getting their health back to full as if Battle Spirit doesn't even exist. Meanwhile, you make a tanky build, and your attacks are as weak as a toddler. But for some reason, your enemies can make a tanky build wearing 3 to 4 pieces of heavy armor, and still hit like an elephant.
How? Just how in oblivion are people doing this? I can accommodate all the passive skills from my armor to my weapons, and also accommodate the set bonuses that increase my damage, pen, and crit, as well as the improvement of the quality of my gear to boost their stats further. No accounting the champion skills cuz all that is disabled in BGs. I can also accommodate for the crafted poisons I put on my weapons to give me a better edge, like weakening my foes while making me stronger, and adding a bit more damage per second with the toxins I inflict per hit. And yet WHY for the love of bloody Kyne can I not hit as hard as I should be?
I just can't understand what people are doing that makes them kill someone in mere seconds while I struggle for a hot minute taking someone down. It's beyond the pale that I could mimic whatever they're wearing and it doesn't work for me. What am I doing wrong?
Screw meta! I always try to get creative and put together something that can help me win, and yet everybody who kills me so easily tbags and laughs at it for being weak.

These monopolies...yet I can't much imagine there's a real market for them when most of what I see are people not enjoying the vault.

5 pieces of shattered fate set since I read that’s good for penetration… Other gear pieces I have on aren’t partial sets even because I haven’t had time to grind it yet, but from what I’ve looked up, I’m now supposedly 1k over what’s recommended for penetration, and while buffed with Crit Surge, my weapon and spell damage is a little over 4k.
While I’m now doing noticeably more damage than before with the new shattered fate set acquired (3-4k base spell damage vs not even 1k before) I’m still doing practically nothing to other players health bars… One dude in my previous game was literally jsut standing there staring at me as I spammed my Crystal Frags at him… 😬 It’s getting really annoying… PvP is one of the things I enjoy the most on here, but ever since I hit 50, I lose over and over on BG’s.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

...And I had a blast!
What a beautiful zone to discover, full of lore and knowledge about argonians, their culture and traditions.
Special mention to that side quest that made me think for a second it was the main story line.
I read every book and scroll I found, really enjoyed learning the lore and discovering the zone.
If you have ESO+ or have the zone available and didn't start it yet, I highly recommend it, it really fits with an immersive playstyle.
Now I am moving to Elsweyr.

I recently redownloaded the elder scrolls online after about a year break and am missing my Blackwood collection. I confirmed in my purchase history that I had bought it and also noticed that I’m missing summerset and elsweyr even though I purchased that with crowns also? My character even has a companion following him and level 45 in jewelry crafting. I tried to submit a ticket but keep getting met with 404 error codes when going through their support prompts. Any advice?

This seems like something easy to fix. It also feels a little bait-and-switchy seeing as we can generate a character model, but have a limited number of character deletions within an arbitrary window of time. So the only option is to wait it out or drop $10 for 1,000 crowns for an appearance change.
I know it has been this way for several years now. Would love to see a toggle added for lighting.

Sonna was birthed from the bones of my first toon and has been my main ever since. She's gone through many story changes since and I need to get back into writing that story down.

I have this master writ with cowardice, hindrance, and detection. I have all ingredients including the new ones, and even have the Lazy Writ Crafter installed but can’t craft this. Has anyone experienced this before? And is there anything I can do besides abandoning it and losing out on the vouchers. I know they just recently shuffled around the traits so this may have messed it up.

I had a guild member assist a week ago with the new vault, and we did a portion of unlocking the mount from each area, but I am not exactly sure which. Can I track my progress in regard to the unlocking the mount besides unlocking the sigils?

After being Healer For Life, I'm looking to make a different character to try something new. So, what's the best class to learn tanking on? I prefer range, but figure that's not an option for tanks.
Also, is there a companion with a good story line for a tank? Zerith Var's quests were PHENOMENAL, to the point where Sharp, Ember, and Tanlorin just feel like let downs.

Already chose a leader, there is no further main quest markers in hideout, how do I get tomes ?
r/elderscrollsonline • u/SwornThane • 15h ago
I was waiting to do the Nowhere Vault and Rumors when the next tome starts, however I just realized the achievement for the Rumors said “season 1”.
Now, does this achievement mean “complete the rumors in season 1”
or “the rumors, which started in season 1…”
The title achievement atleast doesn’t mention the seasons atleast
And another question, will the tome points for the vault/rumors go away when season 2 starts?

Hello!
Coming back to the game after a long hiatus and having the inspiration to make a classic knife wielding rogue type character but the information on Dual Wield Stamina NB builds seems really sparse?
I can't find a decent one for the life of me and I have missed so much content and generally struggle with build crafting in MMOs.
Is there any good stamina Nightblade build for dual wielding someone could recommend? For PvE. PvP is something I'd also want to get into but one thing at a time.
