Once a rabbi asked another: "Hey is that true that your people never argue."

The other said yes.

"How come that be? If two people have the same faith there are bound to be disagreements between them and cause arguments." Asked the first one again.

The second said: "No two jews believe the same thing under me."

Or something like that, the original joke wasn't in English, but it's a good allegory. There are Buddhists, Pseudo Buddhists, Mystics, New Agers, Non-dualists, Wizards and lots of other wacky people here even Christians.

Most of the answers that you will get on Reddit are going to vary. I am not enlightened. However, I’ve watched a load of content related to it over the last 5 or so months.

In my easiest words, enlightenment can get explained in various ways. One teacher may describe it differently than someone else. It gets confusing if you dive too deep too fast. For example: It’s important to remember that all of this is language, so it is concepts applied to direct you toward an answer. The answer itself is not actually an answer, since an answer is a concept.

That may sound confusing. It also does to me. At times you’re going to say “oh this person explains this better than that person.” And, while that may be true, it’s also important to note that you might just be deepening your knowledge toward this “goal”.

In a direct way, the goal is to remove all knowledge that you’ve ever gained, ever will gain; remove the past and the future, see what it’s like to live in this very moment, while reading this text. You’d also remove the goal itself: since it’s implied as a concept, or a thought, that means it’s the answer which also is not the answer. (These parts are confusing)

At times, you may get “glimpses” which are the mind essentially disentangling all of its perceived reality momentarily, and raw viewing, listening, etc, happening. The moment you tell yourself “wait this is it”, that is you undoing that happening by making a thought out of it.

Just practice as often as you’d like. Remember though, that there’s no destination, you aren’t driving yourself to the answer, you’re only falling back to it. Falling back to your true nature.

Another way of explaining all of this is: what was it like for you as a child, with no concrete memory?

I’d recommend Angelo Dilullo on YouTube. He has a book as well. I’m not sure if there are translations to Arabic, though.

But they weren't enlightened

u/Itchy-Victory7560 23h ago

they were

1

u/Desperate_Wait1562 22h ago

That is just your belief. There is no compelling evidence that they were enlightened, nor were there circumstances suggesting they were.

look when you say that Enlightment is acheiving the truth so thats cant mean to breath for hundres years in a cave for nothing are we agreed for this one? they acheived the truth but like what they say there is like a wall between you and them thae makes everything that they say is bullshit but you acheive the truth when you have litrally no questions and you dont have anything else maybe just having fun around

u/Desperate_Wait1562 22h ago

I have nothing further to seek

1

u/Itchy-Victory7560 22h ago

Most of the people on this thread have not experienced a true and full enlightenment experience, I'm not sure what this is all about there are some interesting members who post but also you have to understand that Enlightenment is an experience that is beyond words

Someone asked Buddha what did u gain from enlightement? He said nothing i just lost ignorance illusion fear and desire use google translate if u don't innerstand what i said.

1

u/Itchy-Victory7560 20h ago

And how did you know that Buddha is real or what they were saying about him? only because he is in your relegion? or because he is positive and calm.or something? then why now you do not believe any another relegion like Islam and Christianity or Judaism .... ETC Enlightement Is not what Buddha says

1

u/Kecman888 20h ago

I dont care if he is real or not i know that root of all suffering is fear and desire.

1

u/Itchy-Victory7560 20h ago

that's good there is only two feelings btw Pain and fear you cant have anything else

1

u/Kecman888 20h ago

I know exactly,

1

u/AryanPandey 6h ago

"enlightenment is becoming awake to the powers that are influencing or controlling you. And there are levels to it, because there are different ways we are being manipulated, not just spiritually. Once we've become 'woke' or woke enough, we can exercise choice better or in more ways than we used to."

Eckhart Tolle sagt, er hatte eine Erleuchtung. Er spricht in seinen Vorträgen und Büchern darüber.
