Activities/spots in enschede for meeting potential partners?
In your experience where are the places or activities in enschede where you can build connections with other people (but not very limited to certain specific interests)
Thanks!

Well, since you don’t want anything specific, have you tried outside?

Nah, i believe is the best since you can pick you the type of the person you like! Only is that my social skills aren’t enough for the context-free outside hehe

I think what your problem is here is you are trying to go to social events that people go to with the goal of having a good time doing an activity. They are not going there to look for partners. If you go there with the express intention of looking for a partner, instead of meeting new people and making friends (which might or might not lead to something). This is very off putting to most people, especially people who are not looking for a partner at all.
Try going to these kind of activities with the intention of making friends and having a good time. With a bit of luck those friends you make can someday set you up with someone, or they might invite you to another social gathering where you might meet someone. But going to these things with the sole goal of meeting a potential partner will almost always leave you dissappointed

I agree with you but I don’t usually transmit that kind of energy as i’m a bit shy at first, it’s actually the opposite i need to start to try feel more comfortable talking to people that I don’t know in general! But thanks I understand the point

I know you specifically say "not very limited to a certain specific interest", but I still want to point out: meeting spots for certain activities might yield more matches than going to a more generic place. For example, if I'd have to look for new people/potential partners, I would frequent a bouldering gym or boardgame events, and definitely stay away from bars/drinking parties.
I suppose anyone's mileage would depend on their specific interests, but in general I feel like it'd be more useful to alternate between events revolving around specific interests rather than general places (unless it's a dating event).
Hope this helps, and that it doesn't hurt if it does not :)

are you a creative person? we have some creative communities that often host workshops but people also hang around to talk to new people after. don't wanna immediately throw all the locations out there cause i also don't want a bunch of people with ulterior motives showing up. but yeah just try looking at meeting new people as a way to improve your social skills first and foremost, don't even go looking for a partner. and then if you find someone you actually connect with, you can take it from there. but i don't like the "scouting" mindset

Well i’m pretty creative in doing practical solutions :D but I assume you refer to creative in the artistic sense then i’m not haha. But thank you I think you are super right on the social skills development point! Usually I find myself very shy.

Try signing up for an event at Frida’s. We host multiple events for people to meet. Slip and stitch is next week I believe.

Try the bars, oude markt on a Saturday evening or if you're a student, perhaps Thursdays, that's the usual time of the week for them to go out

Ehhhh yeah do you have more context on what you’re looking for because there’s a lot of spots to meet people :P also your hobbies, age, any piece of extra information helps lol
