Yeah, she was drunk.

Still made more sense than MAGA, somehow.

I'll take the alcoholic who doesn't want trump policies over Republicans at this point. "Better" is a very relative term in US politics at the moment

Drunk or not, this is how people including republicans feel. But my favorite was “ we got GUNS 💪 to”

This reminds me of a parks and rec episode when Leslie is running for council. Short of the long, goes out drinking with everyone after being told the interview was postponed but then suddenly gets a call that it's back on.

This lady might have a good excuse, but might be an alcoholic. I'd want to see another interview to see if it's a pattern or one-time event.

If I was in Indiana, I'd vote for her. I don't blame her - I'd be hitting the sauce, too. Maybe this is her strategy??

No Nonsense reasonable response, to what must be an intimidating set of circumstances facing the opposition in mostly RED states. There will always be a certain faction of society, who willingly accept the LIES of the MAGA in government. Partly because, of past family voting preferences, ie, my family has voted Red for generations, and some like to be able to break the law with impunity, for their open support of MAGA, and there are those who do it out of spite against anyone who is not a Republican.

How many republicans get death threats from liberals? How many red hats have been assaulted in the streets for being conservatives? I'm sure it's not zero, but I bet it's a far, far smaller number than the opposite.

She seems like a moron but she’s just a minor city council candidate.

What pisses me off is the shit she’s saying is stuff our President, his cabinet, and the majority of congress would say dead sober in an interview without even flinching and they’d face no repercussions. Hell it’s something they already did.

I’d still vote for her over MAGA.

Note: If this story was posted earlier today on this sub, my apologies. I looked to see and didn't see it however it may not have been the latest.

I have a conspiracy theory: This lady is actually a Republican turncoat. Get elected as a democrat then turn Republican. We’ve seen it before. I think (conspiratorially) this was an act. Get drunk and portray a democrat as a drunk, blithering idiot saying all the things that democrats want to hear.

It worked and it didn’t. I think it’s fuel for the MAGA machine/foreign propaganda that’s clearly being pumped to us en masse to say “see the Dems are so stupid they’ll follow some drunk idiot!”

It didn’t work because it resonated so much on both sides of the aisle.

THIS IS MY OWN CONSPIRACY THEORY. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS. IM SIMPLY STATING A CONSPIRATORIAL ANGLE.

It’s in Indiana.

Sure, sure, but what county are we talking about here? (/s)

Indiana.

This is an example of using the name of a state as an adjective. Learn grammar before you try to criticize it.
