It still looks odd to me to see no amps or cabs on the stage. I get what they're doing and why they're doing it, but it just looks distinctly different from almost every other rock show I've ever been to. Still, this is one of the best songs of the 90s alternative/space-rock genres. And I love seeing Greg and Ken switch instruments during the set. Too good.

Ken talks about it a ton with those rig rundown videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l4hnuoMoBM&t=875s

He doesn't even use analog amps in the studio apparently. They could add amps but it really doesn't add anything to the performance other than feedback. He's one of the die hard digital dudes out there.

Yep, I get it. And it's a great simplification. No need for all of the pedal boards and equipment that comes with it. Ken is a studio wizard, has brought that to their live sound. STILL I'm just saying that it's a very different way to do it. And, honestly, I miss that traditional approach. There's something about the analog approach that feels DIY and rock and roll.

I actually didn’t know they played this way and now I know why last night’s show sounded so good. It was almost uncanny valley good, haha

That was my 5th show and I think it was the best one. They were so good. Setlist was insane too although I wouldn’t mind some songs from In The Future and Wild Type Droid but holy shit what a night.
