Player Discussion Kyshawn George

Kyshawn George was the hottest name on this board last preseason. We're getting a more efficient version of the same player this year. Have folks moved on or just don't believe this year?

Probably won’t get increased usage but he should still be a solid versatile guy that gives you a little bit of everything. He’s looked good in preseason so far. I think his stats will probably be around the same as last year.

And let’s be real here - it’s only a matter of time until AD is injured.

Difficult pathway to increased usage with Davis, Sarr, Trae and Dybansta all ahead of him

Wiz fan here: Interesting enough, pre season has shown the opposite. Wiz clearly do not trust Bub to run the second unit so Ky has been the primary backup ball handler. Even with Trae, they seem to split duties as the primary initiator. Weirdly enough, kys also been the number one option in the last 3 preseason games. AJ has mostly been a roll man, transition threat, with only a handful of iso opportunities. This might change as Trae gets his legs (hes been terrible so far), but wiz front office have said time and time again that they expect his usage to come down.

That seems like a role for AJ that is not going to hold very long.

Doubt it, at least this season

Yeah, it’s hard to ignore his preseason, if stays efficient he could have a big year

Coming from a Wiz fan: Sarr is most certainly not ahead of George, he’ll play under 30mpg and his usage will reduce considerably given he’ll share the court with Davis . I’d avoid Sarr in fantasy at all costs

What makes you think all of them will be “ahead of him” in usage? Sure hasn’t been that way in preseason

I think folks just don't believe. He's looked phenomenal in the preseason. I could see him getting a lot of minutes and being super flexible in this lineup. He looked really good lining up at the 2 with dybantsa at the 3.

He's worth it for sure. Especially with trae diming him up.

I'm on 10T CAT league and im debating if i should drop Queen or Peterson for him.

I love Queen but I don’t trust the Pelicans at all

Jack of all trades master of none type of player. So still very nice for a flier range.

He’s fine for where he’s going. I’m definitely gonna take a flier on him for sure. There’s definitely less usage with AD and Trae but hopeful that means efficiency goes up. He doesn’t hurt you anywhere and helps across the board. I don’t think he’s the third option, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he is as well.
