College realignment has slowed down a bit recently but during the next wave of conference expansions, who is leaving and who is joining.

Why?

We're probably within 5 years of the creation of the Super League (which Army and Navy will not be part of).

After they're left behind, they'll have no practical ability to compete with their remaining FBS teams. They're legally prohibited from opting into the House Settlement. Cadets and Midshipmen are not allowed to take NIL money. All of the media money that previously existed will be gone.

Assuming that there's still an FBS/FCS split, I could see them staying in a non-Super League FBS.

Otherwise, it might be logical for them to perfect their existing membership in the Patriot League (where they're already full-time members except for football).

They play in a 34k stadium, not to play fucking bucknell and Lehigh at the FCS level. You PL posters are so delusional. That’s like me being like yeah Cuse BC and UCONN are gonna form a new football conference with URI UNH and Maine… pure delusional stuff.

And Yale plays in a stadium that seats 61K. Why would that matter in the slightest?

Looking at Yale FCS playoff run as well as Harvard, it might actually revive more excitement for Yale football as well as Harvard football and IVY League football that if they invest more can actually produce FCS National championship and playoff contenders, with actually getting more butts in the seats. Especially Yale and Harvard playing historic FCS schools like Youngstown State, Villanova, Lehigh, Holy Cross and Lafayette in non conference play.
