How will Mizzou recover from this?

Cheaters!

Really rough, in this wild NIL Era of CFB, you can't convince me that this isn't going on all over the place.

Does one year probation mean they're not playoff eligible? Or does that mean nothing except "don't do it again or you will be in actual trouble"?

Yeah it's basically "Don't fuck up again or we'll have to up it to double secret probation."

Not a postseason ban. Just means increased scrutiny with additional restrictions.

My question also. One has teeth one is meaningless

NCAA is the king of meaningless punishments or absolutely nuking your program, with no in-between

If you ask me, MIZZOU deserves the death penalty for this

The irony of their boosters calling for NDSU’s books and program practices to be reviewed because of the FBS move.

Real talk: this is happening constantly and und decided to tell on themselves

Chaves needs to go if he was stupid enough to report this

Cool. Now go for the FBS coaches blatantly tampering with FCS players who are not in the portal. (Looking at you, Indiana coaches who followed Eli Gillman).

what happened with Gillman?

He ended up staying. Right before the end of our extended portal, the Indiana OL and Running Backs coaches followed Gillman on social media. There were some rumors that he was gone. It only happened after Hauck left, which can hardly be chalked up as coincidence.

And on top of that, we all know what Jimmy Rogers was doing at Iowa State. They’re going for the small fish while letting the big boys get away with whatever (again). Jimmy can build his FCS All-Star team in peace.

he was at Wazzu for a year in between. Or did he raid the FCS when he got to Ames?

Meh, self reported so honestly they are probably way more above board than every other school doing this and not reporting. Honestly my opinion of them only goes up for this.

UND reported this themselves to the NCAA.

Athletic director is an idiot for reporting this

“Tampering” (as the rule’s currently are) shouldn’t be illegal from the end of the players season til add/drop day or the first game of the schools season, whichever is first, as it’s not actually tampering.

Oh yeah go after the little guys. Meanwhile Iowa State grabbed half our team and had them in NIL programs before Xmas.

I need some help understanding some of this. Can someone please explain?

-A 3% reduction in official paid visits in football during the 2026-27 academic year.

Im not understanding this one AT ALL. Can someone dummy this down for me?

-Three one-week bans on football unofficial visits during the 2026-27 academic year.

Is this saying that 3 random weeks will be chosen where he's not allowed to have potential recruits visit the University? If so, there's something called planning ahead.

-A one-year show-cause order for Stepps, during which any employing NCAA member school must restrict him from communicating with four-year transfer prospects during the entire January 2027 football notification-of-transfer window.

I think i understand this one. No talking to ANY four-year transfer prospects in January. We will be relying on OTHER coaches from OTHER Programs to tattle on him if he does.
