Proud of the offense for hanging in there and recovering after the worst start since the Nova game in the playoffs last year. Defense was shocking, our secondary was a fucking disaster especially (which I knew at the start of the season was going to be a problem again like the past 2 years and we have done nothing to fix it), but I will say there were many incredibly generous spots given to Cornell from the refs. One in particular was the fourth down when Cornell decided to run the ball on fourth and 2 inside their own 10 on their last TD drive, and there were multiple times on other seemingly close calls where the ref somehow thought the Cornell player’s head was the ball and spotted it like 2 yards beyond where it should’ve been, which also happened to be enough to get to the line to gain

Not the end of the world losing today. We lost at UND in the COVID Spring season and still went to the natty. But definitely need to fix some things. Plenty of missed throws and bad drops combined with just generally getting out coached. Defense was awful in 1st half but much better in 2nd. Need a good bounce back against Murray before USD comes to Brookings.
