Big Sky Championship

With the way the Big Sky is looking right now (7 1-loss teams, which will change significantly today) we could see 2-3 one-loss teams, my personal prediction is Nau and both Montanas. How does this look for the overall champion? Considering they all cannibalized each other…

Lots of movement coming still for sure. I’d say NAU has the easiest path to win out. MSU and UM still have Idaho St and eachother to play (among everyone else of course. Both MT schools have looked and been beatable). Assuming NAU wins out, Cats/Griz win out, it’ll likely be NAU and cat Griz winner sharing the title.

Lots of chaos to happen between now and then though. Cats got a tough one coming in Cheney. Griz getting all they can handle against the Vandals. NAU needs to avoid a disappointment game.

“Disappointment game” is our middle name. And I do like that we ran the gauntlet early. Brawl will be extremely interesting this year

Don’t count on us being 1 loss yet…

You’ll pull through. Montana will not lose this game.

Story of the FCS tbh. It’s a very offensively-based league

Worth noting that if UCD gets some answers on defense it's shielded from basically any other possible contender (meaning the current 1-loss teams) coming up again on the schedule except for Cal Poly.

I mean I'm not counting on winning out after the Montana game, but it was a major discussion point at the beginning of the season how lopsided the BSC was specifically for Davis this year.

It's not possible for both Montanas to end the season as 1 loss teams since they play each other.

Officially, all tied teams are "co-conference champions". There is also a tie breaker procedure for who gets the auto bid that involves looking at head-to-head and common opponents, but I'm not sure it really matters who gets the auto-bid since all three teams would make the playoffs and I don't think the committee takes auto-bid into account for seeding.
